8 Days 7 Nights Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru N. P. - Lake Naivasha - Amboseli N. P Group Joining Safari

Pickup at 7:30am at City Market Nairobi following a safari briefing. Depart and drive north ascending the Great Rift Valley with scenic views and photography opportunities. Stop at Narok town for refueling and then proceed to Maasai Mara arriving at the camp or lodge at around 1:30pm. After checking in take lunch and freshen up then go for an introductory evening game viewing drive from 3:30pm. The Maasai Mara features smooth grass plains with acacia trees and abundant wildlife including the Big 5 and the Mara River which is the site of the annual wildebeest and zebra migration during July and August. Overnight at the camp or lodge.

Early morning breakfast at 6:00am followed by full day game viewing drives across the savannah and rolling hills of Maasai Mara. The reserve is renowned for large herds, predators including lions, leopards and cheetahs, and numerous elephants. Picnic bush lunches are arranged at the Hippo Pools by the Mara River famous for migration viewing. In the afternoon return to camp then visit a Maasai Manyatta for a cultural tour to learn about Maasai dances, fire making, Manyatta construction, traditional medicine and to view local crafts. Evening spent relaxing at the camp with nature walks, photography, dinner, bonfire and overnight stay.

Another full day in Maasai Mara with early morning and evening game drives. Breakfast early and full day game viewing across the reserve to maximize wildlife sightings including predators, herbivores and birdlife. Picnic lunches in the park at designated spots and further opportunities to visit Maasai village activities and relax at the camp. Return to camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at 8:00am and check out from rooms at 8:30am depart Maasai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with a quick stop over for lunch enroute. Arrive at Nakuru hotel in the evening, check in, refresh and await dinner and overnight stay in Nakuru.

Breakfast at 7:00am followed by proceeding to Lake Nakuru National Park where park fees are paid and game drives commence. Lake Nakuru is a premium park and birding paradise hosting over 400 bird species including flamingos and is home to high concentrations of Black Rhinoceros and other mammals. Expect to see white rhinos, buffalos, Rothschild giraffes, zebras, impalas, baboons, waterbucks and a variety of birds. After game drives guests continue toward Naivasha as indicated in the itinerary with overnight arrangements to follow.

After breakfast at 7:00am and check out at 9:00am proceed to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to Crescent Island and associated activities. Crescent Island offers walking safaris among nonpredatory wildlife, bushy grasslands, papyrus swamps and diverse birdlife. Activities on the island include picnicking, guided nature walks, biking, horseback riding and bird watching. After island activity and a game drive to around 2:00pm, depart Naivasha after safari briefing and drive to Amboseli National Park via Mombasa Road with a quick stop at Emali for snacks or lunch and washroom break, arriving at the camp or lodge at around 5:30pm for check in, freshen up, dinner and overnight stay.

Full day game drives in Amboseli starting with breakfast at 6:30am and boarding the vehicle for early morning drives which are rewarding for predator sightings and photography with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Amboseli is known for large elephant herds, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalos, hippos and various predators. Picnic lunch will be had inside the park and game drives continue with a check out from the park around 3:30pm enroute to the lodge with further game viewing. Evening at the lodge for swimming and other facilities, dinner at 7:30pm and overnight stay. Bonfire can be prepared on request at no extra cost.

Final day includes breakfast at 8:00am and check out from the camp or lodge at 9:00am. Proceed for morning game drives until 11:30am then check out from the park and drive back to Nairobi with enroute stop overs for health breaks and self sponsored lunch. Arrival in Nairobi is expected at around 4:30pm marking the end of the safari.
