From 15th to 19th of February, every year, the sleepy valley of Taralangso situated at the outskirts of Diphu Town in the state of Assam, come alive resounding with the celebrations of the Karbi Youth Festival (KYF), the oldest, largest, most colourful and vibrant youth festival of Assam in North East India.

After breakfast drive to Kaziranga (130kms/4 hrs). Reach in the evening. Kaziranga where you will spend the night.

Full day at Kaziranga – enjoy elephant safari early morning followed by jeep safaris after breakfast and lunch in the different ranges of the national park. Overnight.

After early breakfast drive to Jorhat( 90kms/2 hrs) and then drive to the river front to board a ferry to cross to Majuli island – the largest inhabited river island in the world. The crossing will take approx.2 hrs. At Majuli check in at a home stay. Evening visit the Satras (Monasteries) – the seat of the Vaishnavite culture in Assam. Overnight.

Full day at Majuli visiting the mask making centra, the pottery village and the Mishing tribal villages during the day. Overnight.

After breakfast board the first available ferry to the mainland and then drive to Sibsagar (60kms/2hrs) – at Sibsagar visit the monuments and temples – the remains of the 600 year old history of the Ahom dynasty that ruled Assam from the 12th to the 19th century. Evening drive back to Jorhat to stay overnight
