 Journey to Majuli island - drive to the river front (45mins) to board a ferry to the island that will take approx. 2hrs - at the island visit the monasteries and interface with the monks of the centre of the Vaishnavite culture. The island is dominated by the mishmi tribes who are predominantly agriculturists. Overnight at a guest house in the island.

After breakfast return to the mainland by boat and than drive onwards to Mokokchung in Nagaland (100kms/6hrs) - entering Nagaland drive up the hill to reach Mokokchung in the evening. Overnight at a tourist lodge.

 Full day at Mokokchung - a predominantly Ao Naga tribal area - visit their villages around the town and interface with the tribe to know their culture and history. Overnight at Mokokchung.

Drive from Mokokchung to Tuephema (120kms/5hrs) - reach in the afternoon and take a walk around this Angami Naga tribal village. Stay overnight at a Naga Ethnic Cottage managed by the village community.

After breakfast drive to Kohima (40kms/2hrs) - reach in the afternoon and if time permits visit the 2nd World War Allied Forces Cemetery and the local market. Overnight at a hotel.

Full day at Kohima - the capital city of the State of Nagaland - visiting the museum, the catholic cathedral and the Kohima Village around the town. Overnight.

Full day trekking to the Djuku Valley. Return to Kohima in the evening and stay

Departure to Dimapur after breakfast( 72 kms/2hrs). Arrival at Dimapur and check into hotel. At Dimapur visit Medieval Kachari Kingdom Ruins-Bambo Resource Center- Northeast Zone cultural center- Dizephe craft village. Lunch will be provided at enroute. Dinner and Overnight.
