8 Days 7 Nights Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru N. P – Lake Naivasha - Amboseli N.p

Pick up at 7:30a.m at City Market Nairobi after safari briefing and depart for Maasai Mara driving north and ascending the Great Rift Valley for scenic views and photography. Stop at Narok town for refueling then proceed to Maasai Mara arriving around 1:30pm at the camp or lodge. After checking in take lunch and freshen up before going for an introductory evening game viewing drive from 3:30pm. The Maasai Mara is famed for its rolling plains, flat topped acacia trees and rich faunal diversity including the Big 5 and is the Kenyan extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. The Mara River is the park backbone and is the crossing point during the annual wildebeest and zebra migration typically in July and August.

Early morning breakfast at 6:00am followed by a full day of game viewing drives across the savannah grassland and rolling hills of the Maasai Mara. Enjoy picnic bush lunches at the hippo pools on the Mara River famous for wildebeest migration sightings. Return to camp or lodge in the afternoon then visit the Maasai Manyatta for a cultural tour to learn about Maasai culture including dances, fire making, Manyatta construction and traditional medicine. Evening spent relaxing at the camp or lodge with nature walks, photography and other camp activities. Dinner, bonfire night and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Another full day dedicated to morning and evening game drives in the Maasai Mara. After early morning breakfast continue game drives across the reserve with chances to spot large herds of plain game predators such as lions leopards and cheetahs as well as elephants giraffes buffaloes hippos and diverse birdlife. Picnic lunch in the reserve and continued afternoon game viewing. Return to the camp or lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. The day offers excellent wildlife photography opportunities and further chances to learn about the Mara ecosystem and the migration phenomenon.

After breakfast at 8:00am check out from rooms at 8:30a.m and depart Maasai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park with a quick stopover for lunch enroute. Arrive at the Nakuru hotel in the evening, check in and freshen up then have dinner and overnight stay in Nakuru.

Early morning breakfast at 7:00a.m then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park where park fees are payable before commencing game drives. Lake Nakuru is known for its birdlife including large flocks of greater and lesser flamingos and for being a sanctuary for the black rhinoceros as well as hosting over 400 bird species and many mammal species. Enjoy game drives in the park viewing rhinos giraffes buffaloes zebras and a variety of bird species and landscapes. After game drives proceed towards Naivasha as per itinerary arrangements.

After breakfast at 7:00am check out from rooms at 9:00a.m and proceed to Lake Naivasha. Take a boat ride towards Crescent Island for walking safaris among tame wildlife with activities such as guided nature walks bird watching picnicking biking and horseback riding. Later after safari briefing depart for Amboseli National Park via Mombasa Road with a quick stop at Emali Town for snacks lunch and washroom break before arriving at the camp or lodge around 5:30p.m. Check in freshen up have dinner and overnight stay at the camp or lodge.

Full day of game drives in Amboseli National Park beginning with breakfast at 6:30a.m then boarding the land cruiser or tour van for morning game drives. Amboseli lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro offering splendid backdrop views and is famed for large elephant herds as well as zebras wildebeests giraffes buffalos hippos and various predators. Picnic lunch will be taken inside the park then continue with game drives. Check out from the park around 3:30p.m and proceed to the lodge with enroute game viewing. Evening at the lodge for swimming or enjoying other facilities then dinner at 7:30p.m and overnight stay. Bonfire can be prepared on request at no extra cost.

Final day begins with breakfast at 8:00a.m and check out from the camp or lodge at 9:00a.m. Proceed for morning game drives until 11:30a.m then check out from the park and drive back to Nairobi with enroute stopovers for health breaks and a self sponsored lunch. Arrive in Nairobi in good time at around 4:30p.m marking the end of the safari.
