8days 7nights Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru N.p – Lake Naivasha - Amboseli N.p

Pickup at 7:30a.m at City Market in Nairobi after a safari briefing. Depart for Maasai Mara driving north and ascending the Great Rift Valley with breathtaking views and photo stops. Stop at Narok town for refueling en route. Arrive at the camp or lodge around 1:30pm, check in, take lunch and freshen up. In the afternoon at around 3:30pm go for an introductory evening game viewing drive in Maasai Mara, a reserve noted for its grassland, acacia trees and rich fauna including the Big 5. The Mara River traverses the reserve and is the site of the famous wildebeest and zebra migration typically occurring in July and August. Overnight at the camp or lodge.

Full day game drives in Maasai Mara. After early morning breakfast at 6:00am commence game viewing across the savannah and rolling hills to spot large herds of plain game, lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and other wildlife. Picnic bush lunch at the hippo pools in the Mara River, renowned for the wildebeest migration. Afternoon game viewing returns to the camp with a visit to a Maasai Manyatta for a cultural tour to learn Maasai dances, fire making, Manyatta construction, traditional medicine and to view local crafts. Evening spent relaxing at the lodge with options for nature walks, photography and other lodge activities. Dinner, bonfire night and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Another full day of game drives in Maasai Mara with early morning and evening drives to maximize wildlife viewing. Morning and evening drives offer opportunities to see predators hunting and a wide array of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, black rhinos, cheetahs, gazelles, buffaloes, hippos, leopards and many bird species. Day includes picnic lunch and continued game viewing, returning to camp/lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight. Optional activities and relaxation at the lodge are available.

After breakfast at 8:00am check out from rooms at 8:30am and depart Maasai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park. Travel en route with a quick stopover for lunch. Arrive at the Nakuru hotel in the evening, check in, freshen up, have dinner and overnight stay in Nakuru.

Early morning breakfast at 7:00am then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. Pay park fees on arrival and continue with game drives in this premium park renowned for birdlife including thousands of flamingos, and high concentrations of black rhinoceros. Expect a variety of mammals and diverse flora across grasslands and forested areas. After game drives and wildlife viewing proceed from Lake Nakuru towards Naivasha for evening arrival and overnight stay.

After breakfast at 7:00am check out from rooms at 9:00am and proceed to Lake Naivasha. Take a boat ride towards Crescent Island for walking safaris among tame wildlife, bird watching and scenic views. Crescent Island offers picnic spots, guided nature walks, biking, horseback riding and opportunities to view hippos and various bird species. After the Crescent Island visit and safari briefing, depart for Amboseli National Park via Mombasa Road with a quick stop at Emali Town for snacks, lunch and washroom break. Arrive at the Amboseli camp or lodge around 5:30pm, check in, freshen up, and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Full day game drives in Amboseli National Park. Breakfast at 6:30am then depart aboard a land cruiser or tour van for game drives. Amboseli at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro offers excellent elephant sightings and many plains animals with the snowcapped mountain as a backdrop. Picnic lunch inside the park, continued game drives and return to the lodge with enroute game viewing. Evening at the lodge to swim or use facilities, dinner at 7:30pm and overnight. Bonfire can be arranged on request at no extra cost.

Final day in Amboseli. Breakfast at 8:00am and check out from the camp or lodge at 9:00am. Conduct morning game drives until 11:30am before exiting the park. Drive back to Nairobi with enroute stopovers for health breaks and a self sponsored lunch, arriving in Nairobi at around 4:30pm. End of safari.
