8 Days 7 Nights Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru N.p – Lake Naivasha - Amboseli N. P

Pickup at 7:30am at City Market Nairobi followed by a safari briefing and a drive north ascending the Great Rift Valley with breathtaking views en route. Stop at Narok town for refueling and then proceed to Maasai Mara arriving at the camp or lodge around 1:30pm. After checking in guests take lunch and freshen up before an introductory evening game viewing drive starting from 3:30pm. The Maasai Mara is renowned for its rolling grasslands, acacia trees and rich fauna including opportunities to see the Big 5 and is the Kenyan extension of the Serengeti with the Mara River as a key feature.

Full day game drives in Maasai Mara starting after early morning breakfast at 6:00am. Explore the rich savannah, rolling hills and plains that host large herds of plains game, predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs, elephants and other wildlife. Picnic bush lunches are planned at hippo pools along the Mara River. Later in the afternoon return to camp with time allocated for a Maasai Manyatta village tour to learn about Maasai culture, dances, traditional skills and optionally buy local crafts. Evening at the camp includes relaxation, nature walks, photography, dinner, bonfire and overnight stay.

Continuation of full day game drives in Maasai Mara with morning and evening drives offering chances to spot a wide range of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, rhinos, cheetahs, gazelles, buffaloes, hippos, leopards and lions as well as diverse birdlife. Game drives operate through the day, with return to the camp or lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight. Drives may return to camp around 6:30pm for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast at 8:00am guests check out from rooms at 8:30am and depart Maasai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park with a quick stopover for lunch enroute. Arrival at Nakuru is scheduled in the evening followed by check in, refresh and dinner with an overnight stay in Nakuru.

Early morning breakfast at 7:00am then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park to pay park fees and undertake game drives. Lake Nakuru is noted for over 400 bird species including large flocks of flamingos and is home to black and white rhinos along with many mammal species. Game drives provide opportunities to see rhinos, buffalos, Rothschild giraffes, zebras, impalas, baboons, various water birds and other wildlife. After game viewing depart towards Naivasha for arrival and overnight stay.

Breakfast at 7:00am and check out from rooms at 9:00am then proceed to Lake Naivasha. In Naivasha guests undertake a boat ride towards Crescent Island where walking among wildlife is possible because there are no predators on the island. Crescent Island offers hiking, bird watching and sightings of zebras, giraffes, waterbucks and other plains animals. Activities on the island include picnicking, guided nature walks, biking, horseback riding and game viewing. After the Naivasha visit and safari briefing depart for Amboseli National Park via Mombasa Road with a stop at Emali for snacks or lunch and washroom break, arriving at the camp or lodge around 5:30pm for check in, freshen up, dinner and overnight.

Full day game drives in Amboseli starting with breakfast at 6:30am and boarding the land cruiser or tour van. Early morning drives offer high chances to find predators hunting or feeding and extensive opportunities to photograph wildlife against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli hosts large elephant herds along with zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalos, hippos and many plains species. A picnic lunch is planned inside the park. Check out from the park around 3:30pm with enroute game drives back to the lodge. Evening options include swimming and enjoying lodge facilities, dinner at 7:30pm and overnight with bonfire available on request free of charge.

Final day begins with breakfast at 8:00am and check out from the camp or lodge at 9:00am. Undertake morning game drives until 11:30am then check out from the park and drive back to Nairobi with enroute stopovers for health breaks and a self sponsored lunch. Arrival in Nairobi is expected around 4:30pm marking the end of the safari.
