9-Day Luxury Honeymoon Safari in Northern Tanzania & Zanzibar

Arrival in Arusha and introductory briefing to start the safari. The day offers time to explore Arushas lively streets, local food, markets and museums as an urban complement to the safari parks. Guests will check in to Gran Melia Arusha where rooms overlook Mt Meru, with access to the hotels restaurant, spa and pool for relaxation prior to the safari.

Travel to Tarangire National Park for wildlife viewing known for large herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees and over 500 bird species. Expect scenic game drives with opportunities to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and buffaloes. Evening accommodation is at Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge with full board meals included.

Descend onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a unique safari experience in a self contained ecosystem. Early morning mists, steep forested walls and secret waterways create memorable wildlife viewing with chances to see hyenas, black rhino, elephants with large tusks, lions, hippos and other crater inhabitants. Accommodation is at Serenity Camp with full board meals provided.

Travel into the Central Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for vast open plains, dramatic landscapes and exceptional wildlife viewing. The Serengeti is home to the Great Migration and large predator populations. Stay at Four Seasons Safari Lodge inside Central Serengeti where luxury rooms offer views and the lodge provides an infinity pool overlooking a waterhole.

Full day in the Central Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives to maximize wildlife sightings and search for the Great Migration wildlife and resident predators. Continue to enjoy luxury lodge amenities and scenic views across the Serengeti plains.

Fly or transfer from the safari area to Zanzibar Island and check in at Z Hotel. Zanzibar offers long beaches, the historic Stone Town with winding alleys and spice markets, and offshore reefs for snorkeling and diving. Days on Zanzibar are geared to relaxation, beach time and optional excursions.

Continued time on Zanzibar Island to enjoy beaches, explore Stone Town and partake in snorkeling or diving among fringing reefs and coral gardens. Optional excursions are available such as 3 island tours, Mnemba snorkeling, dolphin tours, turtle hatchery visits and spice tours.

Final full day on Zanzibar for beach relaxation, water activities and optional excursions. Continue enjoying Z Hotel accommodation and the island attractions including snorkeling, cultural tours and island hopping options.

Departure day from Zanzibar. Depending on flight time, breakfast is provided and airport transfer included for departure from Zanzibar Airport marking the end of the safari.
