9-Day Luxury Honeymoon Safari in Northern Tanzania & Zanzibar

Arrive into Arusha where the safari begins with an introductory briefing. Arusha provides a local urban complement to the safari with lively streets, local food, markets and museums and views toward Mt Meru. Guests will stay at Gran Melia Arusha with high quality rooms, onsite restaurant, pool, spa and wellness center. Breakfast is included on day one and the lodge places you close to the centre of Arusha.

Travel to Tarangire National Park for game drives among large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Tarangire is known for excellent wildlife viewing where the Tarangire River attracts many animals especially in the dry season alongside abundant birdlife. Accommodation for the night is at Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge which offers elegant facilities including a swimming pool and a quality restaurant with scenic views.

Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a unique safari experience on the crater floor. The crater supports abundant wildlife including hyenas, critically endangered black rhinos, elephants with large tusks and a significant lion population. Early morning mist rising from the crater, steep forested walls and waterways with hippos contribute to dramatic scenes. Accommodation is at Serenity Camp with tented guest tents and a close position to the crater experience. Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Transfer to the central Serengeti for extensive game drives in one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife reserves. The Serengeti is renowned for vast open plains and the Great Migration where millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move across the landscape with predators in pursuit. Luxurious accommodation is at Four Seasons Safari Lodge located inside Central Serengeti National Park with excellent rooms and views and an infinity pool overlooking a waterhole where elephants may come to drink. Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Second full day in Central Serengeti delivering more game drives and wildlife viewing opportunities in prime Serengeti habitat. Continue to experience the Serengeti biodiversity and landscape with additional chances to see migration herds and predators. Stay another night at Four Seasons Safari Lodge with high standard facilities and scenic wildlife viewing from the lodge areas. Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Travel to Zanzibar Island for beach time and cultural exploration. Zanzibar offers long beautiful beaches, historic Stone Town with winding alleys and spice markets and offshore coral gardens for snorkeling and diving. Accommodation is at Z Hotel where guests can relax and enjoy the beachfront setting. Breakfast is included on arrival days.

Full day on Zanzibar Island for relaxation, beach activities and optional excursions. Guests can spend time on the long beaches, explore Stone Town and local markets or arrange snorkeling and diving trips to nearby reefs. Accommodation remains at Z Hotel and breakfast is provided.

Another day on Zanzibar Island for relaxation, beach time and exploration. Continue to enjoy the island's beaches, water activities and cultural highlights. Z Hotel provides a comfortable base for the leisure days and breakfast is included.

End of safari with transfer to Zanzibar Airport for departure. This final day includes breakfast and departure transfers are provided. The itinerary concludes on Zanzibar Island after the 9 day program.
