Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 Dimapur To Khonoma ( 81 Km. Approx 4 Hrs Drive) A Trek In Nagaland

    After arrival at Dimapur you are picked up and you proceed for Khonoma, the Green Tribal Village. After reaching there you check-in at Home Stay and take a walk around the village and learn about different aspects of their lives and what makes them unique. The Angami Naga is known to be the last bastion of the Naga warriors and there are several memorial stones that celebrate their achievements. The village also has a very interesting water system where the water is piped long distances using bamboo. This village is very iconic in that it is surrounded by green rice terraces. Post sightseeing, return to the hotel.

  • Day 2 Khonoma-kohima-zakhama ( 40 Kms. Approx 2 Hrs Drive)

    After breakfast, you are transferred to Kohima. You then take a sightseeing tour of Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. The main tribe in the area are the Angami but there are also both the Rengma and Zeilang tribes here too. The village also has a World War II memorial which is well worth a visit. The state museum of Kohima is a great place to learn more about the Naga tribes and their unique ways of life. The War cemetery is one of the best in India and photographers delight. After completing the sightseeing tour of Kohima you are transferred to Zakhama and check-in at Home Stay there for a cosy home Stay.

  • Day 3 Zakhama To Dzukou Trek (full Day)

    The morning after breakfast at the homestay you would be picked up and taken to the last point from which the trek starts. It will take about 3.5 Hrs to 6 Hrs to reach the valley depending upon fitness. First 1.5 Hours is tough trekking and then moderate. After reaching you take some rest in the shelter and the guide with you arranges for your stay in the shelter there for trekkers.

  • Day 4 Doukou Valley

    Enjoy the beautiful valley and trek down the valley to be in the lap of the valley of flowers.

  • Day 5 Dzukou To Zakhama

    After breakfast start for return trek and take rest for the day in Zhakama homestay.

  • Day 6 Zahhama To Dimapur

    After breakfast, you are transferred to Dimapur Station or Airport for your return journey as per your schedule.
