Amboseli And Tsavo West National Parks Safari Package

Early morning pick-up and briefing by a representative from Abana Safaris and depart on your Safari southwards to Amboseli National Park, famous for being the best place in Africa to see free-ranging elephants. The park also has a spectacular view of the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks. It lies 150 miles south-east of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds dominates every aspect of Amboseli. Arrive at your pre-booked Safari Lodge in time for lunch. Have lunch; check in and rest. At 1600hrs enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Dinner and overnight……..

Full Day in Amboseli with game drives early in the morning and in the evening. The park is famed for, and is home to the huge herds of the African Elephant. The park also plays host to lions, buffaloes, the elusive leopard, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, a variety of antelopes and other smaller plains game. During the dry season it is semi arid terrains and during the wet season, the seasonal “Amboseli Swamp” becomes home to many species of birds. Dinner and overnight……

After breakfast at the lodge, you will check out from the lodge and board your van to Tsavo West National Park. Arrival in time for lunch, check in relax and have lunch. Later proceed for an afternoon games drive looking for animals in the park. The northern part of Tsavo West is fascinating geologically: the whole developed area is dotted with old and new volcanic hills, ranging from pimples to great pyramids on the plain. The most iconic attraction in the park is Mzima Springs. The crystal-clear water of this chain of lakes is filtered through the volcanic rocks of the Chyulu Hills just to the north. Shaded by majestic fig and acacia trees, the lakes swarm with fish, large crocodiles and some big pods of hippos. You can leave your vehicle and follow a pretty nature trail, though you need to keep an eye out for large animals, especially early in the morning or before dusk. If you’re lucky, the underwater viewing chamber, accessed by a pier, can provide unique photo opportunities – of a sinuous, gliding crocodile, or the delicate, tiptoe swimming. Dinner and overnight……

This day you will have a pre-breakfast game viewing drive, later return to the lodge/camp for breakfast. Afterwards you will check out from the lodge, and embark on your journey back to Nairobi.
