When you aren’t gazing open-mouthed at Khangchendzonga, you can explore colonial-era architecture, visit Buddhist monasteries, and spot snow leopards and red pandas at the nearby zoo. Early morning leave for Tiger Hill to witness a spectacular sunrise over The Himalayan Range including Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest, Makalu, etc. On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee Centre, Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate, Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. Afternoon free to visit The Mall. Overnight at hotel.

Morning drive from Darjeeling to Gangtok (98 kms 4 hrs). Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim is located on a ridge at a height of 1750 mts. With a spectacular view of the Khangchendzonga, the town provides the perfect base for travel through the state. Once an important transit point for traders traveling between Tibet and India, it is today a busy administrative and business centre and presents an interesting mix of cultures and communities. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travellers delight. Arrive at Gangtok and check in at hotel. Afternoon proceed for half day sightseeing in Gangtok visiting Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Cottage Industry and Bakthang Falls. Overnight at hotel.
