Assam, Nagaland & Arunachal Pradesh Tour

Arrive Guwahati by air. Meet and assist by EITT staff at the airport. Transfer to Eco Camp, near the Assam Arunachal Pradesh border. Evening, walk on the banks of river Bhorelli that flows near to your camp. (Eco camp has comfortable double bedded tents with a thatched roof canopy). Come back to the camp at dusk. Dinner and overnight.

Today after breakfast we will set off for Ziro, 160 kms away. Before reaching Ziro we will stop at a village inhabited by NISHI tribes. Lunch on the way. Check into hotel Blue Pine on arrival. Evening visit to market. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we will be visiting APATANI villages. Ziro is one of the most traditional areas in Arunachal Pradesh. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we will be visiting APATANI villages and then proceed to Daporijo, 160 kms away. Enroute we will visit Tagin and HILL MIRI villages. These are the main tribes of this area. On arrival check into Government Lodge. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast in the morning we drive to Along. The main tribe of this area is ADI GALLONG. We will visit their villages on the way. On reaching Along we will visit local market and museum. Your accommodation has been arranged at Govt. Lodge. Dinner and overnight.

We are going to Pasighat today. Visit more villages on the way. On arrival we check into Hotel Oman or similar. Evening sightseeing of Pasighat town. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we start our journey to Dibrugarh. Along the way we will cross the mighty Brahmaputra river by ferry. Check into a hotel. Evening walk around Dibrugarh town. Dinner and overnight.

Transfer from Dibrugarh to Mon. Our drive to Mon in Nagaland will be through lush green valley of the tea estates of Assam. The journey will take about 5 hours. This district is inhabited by the KONYAK TRIBE with a sizable number of AO Nagas. Check into Circuit House on arrival. Dinner and overnight.

After early breakfast we will be going to SHANGNYU village. True tradition is seen here where people are still not touched by modern ways. Lunch at the village. Meet village folk, see their way of life. Return to Mon in the evening. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we will be going to Mokokchung in the north-central Nagaland. This district is inhabited by the AO Tribe. On reaching Mokokchung we will check into Circuit House or Hotel Metsuben . Dinner and overnight.

UNGMA AND LONGKHUM VILLAGE is our destination today. After breakfast set off for the villages. From here we will drive to Touphema village 5 hours away. On arrival check into neatly appointed huts built in the Angami Naga style, ANGAMI is, incidentally, the main tribe of this area. Evening traditional dance and dinner around campfire. Overnight.

After breakfast today we drive to Khonoma village via Kohima, a place renowned for its valour and courage. The Khonoma gate tells the story of British infiltration into Naga hills. We return to the hotel for lunch. Late afternoon, visit the famous war cemetery, a symbolic memorial raised as citation for the supreme sacrifice made by the officers and men of the Allied forces during World War II. Come back to Kohima and to Hotel. Dinner and overnight.
