Bear watching in Slovakia, day tour different than others! You will have to get up early.
Seeing the brown bear in its own territory is a very exciting experience.
The Tatra Mountains National Park offers many places where you can find them.
After picking you up from your hotel we will take you to our starting point.
Please, be ready to cycle through the valley as we need to get to bear spoting points with the best views which are situated up in the mountains. Bike will save your energy and your time.
On todayˈs bearwatching trip we will visit locations and we will observe them from a safe distance. Remember that every day here is different.
It varies according to the weather and our chances of spoting them also depend on our timing and the season. More than 150 brown bears live in the Tatra Mountains. We hope to be lucky enough to see them in their bear territory with you.

Day 1 : Details about our day
5 AM Meet and greet. Meet your guide and get ready to bike. starting time may change according to the daylight each season. Warm clothes are great for cold mornings. Don´t forget your camera and packed lunch. We will provide professional binoculars Bikes. Bear spray and bells.
5 AM - 6.30 AM Bike ride. Take a bike ride and cycle about 7 km either to the Tichá or Kôprová Valley.
6.30 AM - 1 PM Being at the location. We are at the location without the bear hides, as mentioned above. We respect the local wildlife and we do not feed them to make them closer. Our experienced local bear guide will show you all the spots from which you can be able to spot the brown bear.
1 PM – 2 PM Ride back down. Bear watching is over and it is time to cycle back to the valley.
