The gorgeous meandering meadows of Ali Bedni Bugyal are amongst the most beautiful alpinemeadows of Uttarakhand. It is located at the border of Garhwal and Kumaon in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
The impregnable trek to Bedni Bugyal and Ali Bugyal passes through the velvety grasslands and the thick coniferous forest clinging to the steep slopes and hills. Bedni Kund in Bedni Bugyal holds great religious importance amongst the locals.
This stipulated meadow of Bedni Bugyal brings the most fascinating trekking opportunities for the visitors to find the scenic mountains, deep valleys and lofty mountains along the most memorable sunsets and sunrises and the most enormous western flanks of Trishul and the Nanda Ghunti bringing heaven on earth. Trekking in Bedni Bugyal will take the trekkers to the highest bugyal in Uttarakhand.
Bugyal that means the high altitude meadows brings the most scenic and lush surroundings all along the cushiony treks of Bedni Bugyal. Besides that, the Vaitarni Lake (also called the Bedni Kund) can also be spotted at this region which is famous for the rare Brahma Kamal flower, and is also a major stopover during the Nanda Devi Raj Jaat Yatra, a ritual procession which is held every 12 years. The trekkers can also mark their presence at the famous Roopkund Trek that serves en route during the Bugyal trekking tour.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

KATHGODAM – LOHAJUNG (2130M) (DRIVE / 225 KMS / 8 – 9 HRS)

We will meet at Kathgodam railway station at morning and from here board a vehicle and be driven up to Lohajung. This is a long but interesting drive. You will initially drive along beautiful Kumaon mountains via Almora and Kausani. Later we get into Garhwal region and continue to drive upto Lohajung. On arrival we will settle down in beautiful place of Lohajung.

Day 2

LOHAJUNG (2130M) – DIDANA (2550M) (TREK / 5 – 6 hours)

Today’s walk is gradual apart from the last stretch to reach Didana village. The walk is through an enchanting mixed forest abundant in bird life so carrying a bird book will be a good idea. You will a couple of villages to appreciate a lifestyle typical of the terrain. After about 4 -5 hrs of walking, initially going downhill and then up again, you will reach the campsite above Didana village getting full view of the trail for tomorrow leading to the famous Ali & Bedni bugyals (meadows). Overnight in tents.

Day 3

DIDANA (2550M) – ALI BUGYAL (3250M) (TREK / 4 – 5 HRS)

Today after a steady ascent through thick oak forest we will come to the alpine grazing meadows called Ali bugyal. It’s a super place for taking a break and to enjoy the views of unending vistas in all directions and if the sky is clear you will be mesmerized by the views of the Trishul peak. Ali Bugyal is one of the best summer tourist place. Take the pleasure of night stay in tents.

Day 4

ALI BUGYAL (3250M) – BEDNI BUGYAL(3350M)- GAIROLI PATHAR (TREK / 6-7 HRS)

From here on it’s a pleasure walk till Bedni bugyal with the gradient being moderate. Bedni bugyal is a very fine camping site with vast open views and grazing pastures all around, not to forget the close views of the Trishul& Nanda Ghunti peaks. Will do sightseeing at Bedni and after lunch we will ascend towards Gairoli Pathar .Overnight in tents.

Day 5

GAIROLI PATHAR – WAN – LOHAJUNG ( TREK 12 KM / 7 – 8 HRS)

Trek down through the beautiful meadows, jungles of pine, rhododendron & oak to reach Wan, a village you are sure to fall in love with. Visit the village temple and rest for some time. Our trek will end here and we will board the vehicles and drive down to Lohajung. On arrival we will settle down in beautiful camp side at Lohajung . Overnight in tents..

Day 6

LOHAJUNG – KATHGODAM (DRIVE / 7 – 8 HRS)

Post breakfast drive down to Kathgodam. Arrive around 5 pm at kathgodam. The trip ends here.

Payments Policy

Note: One must transfer atleast 30 of the total cost to confirm their booking atleast a week before the commencement of the trip. If the time of booking is less than a week from the day of commencement of the trip, full amounts payable. There maining amount has to be paid on arrival/Day of commencement of the trip The payment can either be made in cash or through an electronic transfer NEFT/IMPS/BHIM/TEZ etc.
The percentage of amount to be refunded in case of cancellation is mentioned in cancellation policy

Note

Being a high altitude trek, this trek is suitable for climbers with good physical condition and stamina.
This is a tentative itinerary which may change as per weather conditions
We expect you to carry your rucksacks, in case if you want them to be carried by mules back pack offloading charge up to Rs. 300/bag/day is applicable
In case of any natural calamity the company will not be able to refund the trip charges, for more details check our cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy

Case1:If the trek is cancelled by The Uttarakhand Mountain Rangers
In case the trek is cancelled by the UMR due to any unavoidable Circumstances like Bharat bandh, Road block, natural
calamity, landslides etc we will provide a trek Coupon where you can opt for the same trek or a different for a period of one year. in case you want to change the trek the amount you paid will be deducted if the new trek cost is greater then the cancelled trek and if the new trek cost is less the remaining amount will be refunded.
In Case of Booking of less than 3 members and the trek is cancelled due to no further trekker available, the customer will get full refund and will get a discount coupon of 10% having validity for a year.
Case 2 : If the trek is cancelled by the customer
If the trek is cancelled by the customer prior to 45 days of booking date - 100 % of the total trek fee will be refunded i.e. no cancellation Fees.
If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 30-45 days of booking date - 70 % of the total trek fee will be refunded.
If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 15-30 days of booking date - 50 % of the total trek fee will be refunded.
If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 1-15 days of booking date - No Amount will be refunded.
Refunds are initiated and will reach to your account between 1 -14 working days of cancellation
