Dayara Bugyal is one of the most beautiful high altitude meadows of the country located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Perched at an altitude of 3408 metres above sea level, this meadow has everything a trekker wishes for. Equally beautiful throughout the year, Dayara Bugyal covers an astonishing area of 28 km and is among the highest and largest meadows which attracts hundreds of tourists and trekkers from all over the country. With a magnificient view of Himalayan peaks like Mt. Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, Jaonli, Draupadi ka Danda, Srikanth, and the Gangotri group of Peaks. It is the best travel destination for adventure lovers; Trekking/Hiking and Skiing. Snow laden high Himalayan Mountains, scenic views are some of the jewels of this picturesque place.
The trek to Dayara Bugyal starts from a small village called Raithal which is 30 km from Uttarkashi. The trek to Dayara Bugyal is of 8 km and is of easy to medium grade. The trail passes through thick coniferous forests and then opens to a vast grassland i.e. Dayara Bugyal. This trek is accessible throughout the year and offers different views seasonly. It is also a perfect skiing location for the skiing lovers in the months of January and February.

Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Dehradun to Raithal, 235 KM Drive

    Pick up from Dehradun ISBT at 7.30.a.m. Dehradun is well connected with Delhi through railway and road route. Overnight Buses and Trains are available.
    Drive to Raithal via Uttarkashi
    Breakfast and lunch during transportation
    Arrival at Raithal village, a small village located 20 km above the city of Uttarkashi which serves as the starting point of the trek. Stay at the homestay in Raithal.
    A quick introduction & briefing session with the trek leader and fellow travellers.
    Dinner and rest at the homestay.

  • Day 2

    Raithal to Gui, 5 Km Trek

    Excursion to Gui Campsite from Raithal after the breakfast.
    A 5 km ascend trek to Gui campsite of easy grade passing through oak forest.
    Arrival at the Gui campsite, hot lunch at the campsite.
    An evening acclimatization walk
    Evening refreshments and snacks post walk.
    Overnight stay at the camps.

  • Day 3

    The Summit Day, 7 Km trek

    3.5 Km Trek to Dayara Bugyal from the campsite after the breakfast.
    Rest and packed lunch at the Dayara View point.
    Descend back to Gui Campsite from Dayara Top.
    Arrival at the campsite Dinner at the campsite

  • Day 4

    Gui to Raithal, Drive to Dehradun, 235Km Drive

    Descend back to Raithal village from Gui after breakfast on a 5 km descend trail.
    A 235 km drive back to Dehradun from Raithal village passing through Uttarkashi,
    Lunch and evening snacks during transport will be provided in the road side inns.
    Expected time of arrival in Dehradun will be 09 PM. So you can plan your travel further accordingly.

Payments Poilcy

  • Note: One must transfer atleast 50 of the total cost to confirm their booking atleast a week before the commencement of the trip. If the time of booking is less than a week from the day of commencement of the trip, full amounts payable. There maining amount has to be paid on arrival/Day of commencement of the trip The payment can either be made in cash or through an electronic transfer NEFT/IMPS/BHIM/TEZ etc.
  • The percentage of amount to be refunded in case of cancellation is mentioned in cancellation policy

Note

  • Being a high altitude trek, this trek is suitable for climbers with good physical condition and stamina.
  • This is a tentative itinerary which may change as per weather conditions
  • We expect you to carry your rucksacks, in case if you want them to be carried by mules back pack offloading charge up to Rs. 300/bag/day is applicable
  • In case of any natural calamity the company will not be able to refund the trip charges, for more details check our cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy

  • Case1:If the trek is cancelled by The Uttarakhand Mountain Rangers
  • In case the trek is cancelled by the UMR due to any unavoidable Circumstances like Bharat bandh, Road block, natural
  • calamity, landslides etc we will provide a trek Coupon where you can opt for the same trek or a different for a period of one year. in case you want to change the trek the amount you paid will be deducted if the new trek cost is greater then the cancelled trek and if the new trek cost is less the remaining amount will be refunded.
  • In Case of Booking of less than 3 members and the trek is cancelled due to no further trekker available, the customer will get full refund and will get a discount coupon of 10% having validity for a year.
  • Case 2 : If the trek is cancelled by the customer
  • If the trek is cancelled by the customer prior to 45 days of booking date - 100 % of the total trek fee will be refunded i.e. no cancellation Fees.
  • If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 30-45 days of booking date - 70 % of the total trek fee will be refunded.
  • If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 15-30 days of booking date - 50 % of the total trek fee will be refunded.
  • If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 1-15 days of booking date - No Amount will be refunded.
  • Refunds are initiated and will reach to your account between 1 -14 working days of cancellation
