Bedni Kund is a part of the alpine meadows of Bedni Bugyal , which sprawls over 20 square km in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand . This glacial lake is situated at an astounding elevation of 3,354 metres about 11,004 feet above sea level . The lake is adjacent to Ali Bugyal and is considered as one of the largest grasslands in Asia . The nearby cities are Nainisain , Kandara , Khatyari , Simli and Kausani .

Trek Distance: 8 km | Trek Duration: 5 hours
Trek gradient is moderate-difficult. A steep descent from Lohajung and a steep ascent for most of the trail that levels out only in the last 100 meters. Carry sufficient water. You will cross streams intermittently where you can refill your water bottles.

Trek Distance: 9.3 km | Trek Duration: 6 hours
Easy to moderate. Gradual ascent for almost 3 km and a level walk on an undulating meadow, followed by a short descent to the campsite. Carry sufficient water. You will cross streams intermittently where you can refill your water bottles.

Abin Kharak (11,417 ft) to Gehroli Patal (10,479 ft) via Bedni Bugyal (12,550 ft)
Trek Distance: 5.60 km | Trek Duration: 4 hours
Easy. Rolling meadows followed by a slightly steep ascent to Bedni Top and gradual descent to Gehroli Patal. Carry sufficient water. No water sources are on the way.

Trek Distance: 6.30 km | Trek Duration: 5 hours
Moderate. This day is full of descent for almost 2,500 ft. Carry sufficient water. You will cross streams intermittently where you can refill your water bottles.
