Buddha Point (kuensel Phodrang): Another Place from Where You Can Get a Good Overview of the Thimphu Valley is from the Buddha Point. It is a Short Drive from the Town. You Can Pay Your Obeisance and Offer to the Buddha, the Largest Statue in the Country and Then Walk and Take a Glimpse of the Valley. Mini Zoo: is the Best Place to See Our National Animal, Takin, a Strange Looking Beast Which Some Say Looks like a Moose.     Drive to Punakha Valley Via Dochu La, Chhime Lhakhang. the Morning Provides More Opportunities to Look Around Thimphu Before Heading Off After Lunch. this Drive is Truly Awe Inspiring as It Zig Zag Up to the 3,140m High Mountain Pass of Dochu La with Its Forests of Fluttering Prayer Flags, Maze of Memorial Chortens And, On a Clear Day Sweeping Views of the Main Himalayan Range. Time to Stretch the Legs with the Short Walk Across Rice Paddies and Villages to the Chimme Lhakhang, a Fertility Temple Dedicated to Drukpa Kuenley, a Tibetan Buddhist Saint Popularly Known as “divine Madman.” Infamous for His Colorful and Sometimes Outrageous Adherence to the Buddhist Faith. the Temple Sits Atop a Picturesque Hill Surrounded By Rice Fields. Drupa Kuenley Built a Chorten On the Side in the 14th Century, and It Has Long Been a Pilgrimage for Childless Couples. Duration of Drive: 3 Hour’s(76km).

    Punakha Valley to Thimphu . After Breakfast Drive to Wangdue Phodrang Dozong, Third Oldest Dzong in Bhutan Built in 1638 By Zhabdrung Rimpoche and Thereafter, Re-retrace Our Steps Back Over Dochhu La Pass for a Second Chance of that Wonderful View of the Himalayan Range. Visit the The Druk Wangyel Monastery On the Pass, Which is Dedicated to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo. You Could Serve Lunch At the Cafeteria Against the View of the Himalaya. After Lunch, Drives Back to Thimphu the Capital City of Bhutan, and You Would have Second Chance to Walk Around and for Shopping.

    Drive to Haa valley via Chele La (pass) which at 3810m is the highest motorable pass in Bhutan,snaking upwards through blue pine and rhododendron(Etho Metho)forests for 36km. On a clear day the view sweeps away to snow-dome of Bhutan’s second highest peak mountain Jhomolhari(7314m).After bracing walk along the prayer flag bedecked ridge it is down into Haa. The whole drive should take no more than 2.5 hours.WangchuloDzong is presently occupied by the Indian Army, however this makes for a quirky experience. Visit Lhakhang Karpo(white temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo( Black temple) which was believe to be the part of ambitious project of Tibetan King Songtsen Gempo to built 108 temple in a single day to pin down the demon.     Visit Rinpung Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang Visit Rinpung Dzong-‘fortress of a Heap of Jewels.’ the Trail Then Leads Across Paro Chhu(river)via a Traditional Covered Bridge(nyamai Zam) and Then Past the Main Archery Ground, Ugyen Pelri Palace and Into Paro Town. a Few Kilo Meters North of Paro, We Pay Our Respects At Kyichu Lhakahng One of the Oldest Temples in Bhutan with Its Magic Orange Tree Which Bears Fruit all Year Round. It Was Built in 659 By Tibetan King Songtsen Gempo.

  • Day 8 : Paro valley spiritual day excursion to Tiger Nest (B)

    After Breakfast, We Will Drive Back to Paro and Conclude Our Visit to the Dragon Kingdom with a Hike to the Magical Temple Known as Taktsang (the “tiger’s Nest). Taktsang is One of the Most Sacred Pilgrimage Sites in the Himalayan World. the Temple Itself is Perched On a Granite Cliff that Drops 2,000 Feet to the Valley Floor. the Name is Derived from a Legend that Guru Rinpoche Flew Across the Mountains to this Spot On the Back of a Tigress, Reaching a Cave in Which He Meditated for Three Months, Converting the People of Paro Valley to Buddhism During His Stay. the Path Takes Us Through a Forest of Oak and Rhododendron, Arriving At a Small Chorten Surrounded By Prayer Flags. with a Little More Effort, We Will Reach a Teahouse and a Spectacular View of Taktsang. that Will Be Our Lunch Stop. Those Who Choose Can Hike Further, to An Overlook that is Almost At Eye Level with the Temple.
