Blue Poppy (Meconopsis grandis)

Blue Vanda (Vanda Coerulescens)
The Blue Wanda with its sky-blue flowers is endemic to the Eastern Himalayas. An epiphytic plant growing on trees in humid regions, the orchid blooms during the summer months.
Its beauty makes it vulnerable to over-collection and therefore, facing habitat loss and decreasing numbers.

Himalayan Rhododendron (Rhododendron spp.)
Within the borders of Bhutan, there are over 46 varieties of rhododendron. Of the 46, the Himalayan Rhododendron with its flowers in shades of pink, red, and white, is a sight to behold. It blankets the hillsides and forests of Bhutan, creating marvelous flower displays during the spring season.
The vibrant colors of the rhododendron blossoms attract not only human admirers but also a myriad of pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and birds.
Lady's Slipper Orchid (Cypripedioideae spp.)
The last one on this list of floral gems in Bhutan is the Lady's Slipper Orchid. Known for its distinctive slipper-shaped blooms, these orchids are rare and endangered. They are found in the temperate forests of Bhutan, growing in shaded areas among the moss-covered rocks and tree roots.
With its elegant form and charm along with its intricate beauty, the Lady's Slipper Orchid is a subject of fascination for botanists and enthusiasts alike.

Visit Tagchho Lhakhang: It was built by Thangtong Gyelpo in around 1420-30, after he had a vision of Tamdrin, the wrathful form of Chenrizig/ Avolokitesvara – the bodhisattva of compassion, with a horse neck on his head.
Visit Buddha Dordenma Statue. It is largest Buddha Statue in the world with 177 feet (54 m) and contains 100,000 8-inch-tall and 25,000 12-inch-tall gilded bronze Buddhas.

Tingtibi to Trongsa
Visit Trongsa Dzong: It is built on a spur overlooking the gorge of the Mangde River. Initially a temple was first established at the location in 1543 and in 1647 Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal constructed the first dzong to replace temple and called Chökhor Rabtentse Dzong with a shorter version of Choetse Dzong.
