Borasu Pass trek is a unique experience for all adventure lovers. It will be a fascinating journey to take the ancient trade route between Har Ki Doon and Kinnaur Valley. Trekking in Uttarakhand will offer you a breathtaking diversity of landscapes and the trek is the perfect blend of lush meadows, vibrant alpine flowers and snow covered fields. The trek starts from Chitkul, said to be the last village in Himachal Pradesh on the Indo-Tibetan border. It will take you through lush Har Ki Doon Valley and the glaciers of Zupica Glacier and Morinda Tal. The stunning vistas of snow-capped mountains will fill your soul with happiness. Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Shimla – Chitkul (245 KMS | 8 hours | 11320 feet)

Kufri

Shimla is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh located beautifully amidst the Himalayas. Reach Shimla on your own which is easily accessible from Delhi and Chandigarh by bus and train. We will drive you to Chitkul via Kufri and Narkanda, some of the beautiful places of Himachal Pradesh. Check in to the tents or homestays arranged for you and relish your dinner before calling it a night.
Day 2

Chitkul – Rani Kanda (10 KMS | 5 hours | 11450 feet)

After breakfast, proceed towards Taluka village, which is the starting point of the the trek. The trek from here is not difficult and en route, you will see a lot of uninhabited villages. Taluka is famous for the wide variety of flowers grown here.Today, the trekking expedition will proceed towards the scenic village of Osla (2560 metres) a place where lofty, snow-clad mountains and rich vegetation can be found. Stay overnight in Osla.

Day 3

Rani Kanda – Bonga Base Camp (12 KMS | 6 hours | 12959 feet)

We will leave the civilization behind and start trekking through some of the remote places in the area to reach the Bonga Base Camp which serves as the base point for Barasu Pass. Have dinner and stay overnight in tents.

Day 4

Bonga Base Camp – Barasu Pass – Shorabira (9 KMS | 7 hours | 17880 feet)

Today is the toughest day of the trek. Follow the instructions and start ascending. The final ascent is the most difficult part, and 3 hours of steep terrain will take you to the Barasu Pass. After spending some time at the pass, descend to the other side of the pass to reach Shorabira for an overnight stay.

Day 5

Shorabira – Morinda Tal

Start trekking to Morinda Tal, one of the enchanting lakes in Himachal Pradesh. After a moderate pace we will reach the lake and pitch our tents by the lakes to stay overnight.

Day 6

Morinda Tal – Har Ki Doon (3 KMS | 2 hours | 11811 feet)

Today we will trek to Har Ki Doon which is a bit challenging, but the sight of the magnificent Himalayan Peaks will make your fatigue go away and make it all look worth it. We will have dinner and stay overnight in the tents.

Day 7

Har Ki Doon – Osla (Seema) (11 KMS | 6-7 hours | 11699 feet)

Today we will walk through an enticing trail towards Osla and admire some of the unnamed and unexplored peaks of the region. Reach Osla and stay overnight.

Day 8

Osla – Sankri (16 KMS | 6-7 hours | 6455 feet)

We will cross the Siyan Gad bridge and witness the beauty of Tons and Supin rivers. After crossing a few villages on the way, we will reach Sankri for an overnight stay.

Day 9

Sankri – Dehradun (195 KMS | 7 hours)

We will drive to Dehradun from where you take a bus or a train back. Our trip concludes as we reach Dehradun.
