The Mishmi tribe has three sub-tribes, namely Idu-Mishmi, Digaru-Mishmi and Miju-Mishmi. It is claimed by China as part of Tibet. China occupied some regions of Arunachal Pradesh in 1962 but later withdrew its forces.
