Queen of natural beauty, Chilika Lake, the largest brackish water lake in Asia covering an area of over 1,100 sq. km is a great attraction for the tourists for fishing, bird watching and boating. In winter Chilika aflutter with thousands of indigenous and migratory birds of many varieties from far and near - even from the distant Siberia. The fabulous beauty of Chilika which has inspired poets to sing its glory and which can be best enjoyed from Balugaon, Barkul, Rambha and Satapada must be seen to be believed. One can also have a glimpse of the lake from the moving trains and vehicles on the road near these places. The atmosphere is just serene and undisturbed amidst the blue expanse of water on one side and an evergreen range of hills on the other. Dotted with a host of islands with romantic names, a cruise in Chilika will be a life-long memory.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Bhubaneswar

Upon arrival Bhubaneswar meet our representative at airport / railway station, transfer to hotel and relax.
Day 2

Mangalajodi

Short drive to Mangalajodi [2hr drive]. Lunch at there. After noon board the country side paddle boat and excursion the different migratory birds, Overnight stay in a eco tent.
Day 3

Nalban - Rambha

Chilika Lake

Early Drive towards Barkul (1 hr drive) . board the motor boat for Nalban. Meet the migratory flemingos. Lunch at barkul. Then drive towards Rambha (1hr drive). Check in a decent hotel on the bank of chilika lake. Free afternoon for self. Overnight stay at there.
Day 4

Satapada

After breakfast drive towards Satapada to cross the lake by ferry. By boating meet the wild irrawady dolphin on nature also the mingling point of sea and lake - the sea mouth. Overnight stay in a clean and comfort hotel at Satapada.
Day 5

Puri

Drive towards Puri (1½ hr drive). Upon arrival check in a decent hotel on beach. Afternoon visit the Puri local sightseeing. Overnight stay in a same hotel at Puri.
Note: if you board the overnight train you may not check in hotel at Puri on the last day.
