Next, stop at Globus Local FavoriteGlobus Local Favorite DOKA COFFEE PLANTATION, which has been producing coffee for three generations, for a coffee tour that takes you from seed to cup. Start in the coffee fields, continue to the processing plant and roasting plant, and end with a tasting session. See firsthand how a red coffee cherry transforms into the perfect cup of coffee. After lunch, continue to Arenal, home to ARENAL NATIONAL PARK and the volcano of the same name. Relax at your hotel this evening by taking a dip in the resort’s natural hot springs.

Later today, visit the world-famous Globus Local FavoriteGlobus Local Favorite TABACÓN HOT SPRINGS. These natural hot springs feature a hot river that flows through a series of pools of varying temperatures. The hot springs are the result of rainwater heated by magma in the Earth’s interior that then rises to surface, taking with it minerals found in the Earth’s crust. Enjoy time to relax in the waters that are so beneficial to your skin and body. Later tonight, enjoy an included dinner at the springs.
Day 4 : Arenal - Tarcoles - Manuel Antonio
Today after breakfast, depart for Manuel Antonio, stopping en route for a TROPICAL MANGROVE CRUISE. Enter the Guacalillo Estuary for a cruise down the Tárcoles River, home to one of the largest crocodile colonies in the world. Along with your Naturalist, cruise through the mangrove that provides an important nesting site for birds, including the beautiful scarlet macaw whose brilliant colors (bright orange-red plumage with touches of blue and yellow) and long, pointed tail and wings make them easy to spot as they fly overhead. As the boat approaches the riverbanks you will get an up-close look at wild crocodiles up to 15-feet long. The Tárcoles River has been recorded to have between 80 and 240 crocodiles per mile of river! Keep your eye out for other fauna often spotted along the cruise, like iguanas, monkeys, sloths, and more. Continue to the Pacific Coast and the town of Quepos. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant this evening.
