Arrive – Kolkata , Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport India’s largest City with population of over 12 million and boasts of India’s first ever Metro rail system. Upon arrival meet and assist and , transfer to hotel for the night.

Depart Calcutta for Bagdogra today. On our way to airport, enjoy an orientation drive of Calcutta city , seeing the Victoria Memorial, Calcutta’s most imposing and monumental dream marble, opened by the Prince of Wales in 1921 and often called the “Taj” of the British Raj, St Paul’s Cathedral and Jain temple , Catch a noon Domestic flight to Bagdogra, the gateway to charming Darjeeling and Sikkim. Arrive Bagdogra airport meet and assist , take adrive of 90 kms 2.30 hours drive to Darjeeling .Check in hotel and have some time to rest and relax in this cool hill station where rulers of the British Raj used to escape the heat of summer. At 7000 feet ( 2135 meter ), pretty Darjeeling is built among rolling hills and tea plantations. Occasionally, the distance sounds of the long, red horns calls of the Buddhist monks to the faithful to workship blend as a natural sound track to the picturesque hilly scenery ,Dinner and over night at Darjeelling.

Early dawn, proceed to Tiger Hill for a breathtaking experience of a lifetime as you view the gorgeous sunrise over the Himalayan peaks. See the Batasia Loop, an interesting example of the railway engineering. At this loop the famous toy train takes a very unique turn. Visit Ghoom Monestery which houses a very beautiful statue of the Maitrayie Buddha and also preserved some of the rare handwritten Buddhist manuscripts. After lunch proceed for sightseeing of Darjeeling, visiting Tea Plantation, Race Course, Lablong Village, Tibetan Self Help Centre and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, a raining school for mountain climbers. Its museum features memorabilia from the first ascent of Everest and documentary filims are often shown ( Sir Edmund Hillary’s climbing partner, the first hero – Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, taught at the institute until his death in 1986.

Depart for Gangtok drive 119 kms approx 5 hrs, drive, the capital of Sikkim. Sikkim was an independent kingdom in the Himalaya until 1975, when it was annexed following a referendum. Along the way , enjoy heavenly panorama of the mountain scenery which Gangtok is famous for . On arrival, check in to hotel. After lunch at hotel sightseeing tour of Gangtok, visiting the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and the Chorten ( memorial for the dead ), Orchid nursey ( seasonal only ) and the 200 years old Enchey Monastery , Continue to drive pass the Tashiling ( the Secretariat ) and the Tsuk-La- Khang ( Royal Chapel ) within the Palace grounds and then visit the Palden Tondup – Cottage Industries Institute and visit the famous Rumtek Monastery.Dinner and over night stay hotel.

Start for a half day trip of Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.),drive 34 km. approximate 2 hour from Gangtok city & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial. Tsomgo lake completely freezes during the winter and is much revered by the locals. This lake is situated near the borders of Tibet,Return back to Gangtok. Later Visit Tibetogy,Handicraft centre and Sikkim flower exhibition centre,where a wide range of rare species of Orchids display( seasonal).Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel.

Depart for Kalimpong, On arrival check in to hotel. In the afternoon enjoy city tour of Kalimpong, visiting Zang Dog Palri, Fo-Brang Monastery, Thongsa Gompa, Nurseries, local market and the Tibetan colony .Return to hotel for dinner and the night

Farewell to Kalimpong as we proceed to Bagdogra airport for your Domestic flight to Kolkata, Arrival at Kolkata, the afternoon is free for shopping at local market .later ,transfer to airport for your homebound flight.
