Deep Trek to Mai Chau, Vietnam Package

08.00AM, ActiveTravel Asia trekking tour guide picks you up at your hotel at 8 am and leave Hanoi for Mai Chau, the beautiful gate way to the mountainous area of northern Vietnam. We may have stop en-route for some refreshment.
Upon arrival in Mai Chau, we will meet up with our local pilot/porter. The pilot leads us to less touristy path to get to Xa Linh village. Enjoy lunch at local Hmong house before setting off on a beautiful trekking in the afternoon.
From here, we start hiking on dirt, small paths using by locals only. After about 40 minutes walking, we reach to first stop - Tra Day Village, home to a small community of Black Hmong people. Depending on your physical level, we offer you two trekking trails: the first one which is easier with rocky trails running through a Hmong village and the second, the harder one, is longer, tougher with uphill hiking through jungle and terraces.
We will reach Hang Kia around 5pm, the home of Flower Hmong minority people. Tonight we will stay overnight with a Hmong family. While our pilot/porter cooks dinner we can take shower or stroll around the village. Dinner around 7.30 pm. Before going to bed we will treat our feet with herbal foot massage for total relaxation.

Having breakfast with local host and getting ready for another amazing trekking today. Leaving the village, we will walk on jungle trail for one hour. The trail could be a bit wet due to the dense trees that keep sunlight away. After that we descend the hill passing farm and terraces. The scenery is stunning with mountains, terraces and expansive valley. During the trek we will some breaks for snack, rest, and photographing. After crossing a small river we reach a village of White Thai minority group, where we have lunch in a local house.
You may wish to have a short nap after enjoying your lunch. In the remainder of the day we will walk on village road to reach Van Village, a beautiful village of White Thai minority people. The road runs zigzag along the valley and through lots of scenic village. Tonight have dinner and stay overnight in a Thai family. We will eat and sleep on the bamboo floor as it is the traditional way. Again, our porter will cook dinner for us while we are taking shower or having a pre-dinner drink. At the meal time the host will welcome us with homemade whisky. Before going to bed we look after our feet with herbal foot massage.

Today begins with homemade breakfast following with 3-hr trekking to reach Buoc Village. The path will runs up and downhill through bamboo forest, terraces and farms. On hiking trails, we may see farmers working on their farms. Around 12 pm we reach Buoc Village, another scenic village of White Thai minority people where you will have lunch or even a short snap. This afternoon is another 2-hr leisure trek to Mai Hich. Weather permitting, we could enjoy a swim into the cool water of the stream nearby at the end of the day. Closing this trekking day with a dinner cooked by the pilot and foot bath in herbal water.

Spend your last morning for delicious breakfast and pure morning of mountain. We say goodbye to the family and enjoy the last trekking along mountain foot to reach Van Mai. Meet our car and driver again then take a short transfer to Pom Coong Village for lunch in a local house.
Drive back to Hanoi. Get into downtown around 5pm. Tour ends.
