Dodi Tal, considered the birthplace of Lord Ganesh, is a lake in Garhwal, western Uttaranchal. The Legend, another name for this lake is Dhundital. Dhundital means Ganesh-ka-tal. In Sanskrit Dhundi is synonymous with Lord Ganesha. Surrounded by lush greenery with crystal clear water. Situated at an altitude of 3307 mts from sea level, north of Uttarkashi and surrounded by dense woods of oak, pine, deodar and rhododendrons.
