Visitors may also see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, buffalo, warthogs, baboons, impalas, rare species such as Gerenuk and Great Kudu, Oryx and Ash stall, as well as predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded in the region.
Arrival day in Arusha. Guests arriving in Tanzania will be met and transferred to accommodation in Arusha. This day is reserved for arrival formalities, transfer, and an overnight stay in Arusha prior to commencing safari activities the following day.
Travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for full day game drives. Tarangire is noted for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees and hosts around 6000 elephants. Expect wildlife viewing of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, buffalo, warthogs, baboons and impalas, as well as many bird species. Overnight stay in a safari lodge or tented camp within or near the park.
Travel from Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive in the crater followed by return to Arusha. The Ngorongoro Crater offers a unique wildlife viewing experience within a collapsed volcanic caldera and provides opportunities to see a wide range of species and birds. After game viewing, return transfer to Arusha where the safari concludes with drop off or overnight as arranged.
