East Coast Tour

This trip will take you deep into the countryside, still preserved in its natural ruggedness from the oasis of Al Dhaid which is surrounded by lush orchards.

The scenic drive along the East Coast will take you through the agricultural lush oasis of Al Dhaid, renowned for its fruit and vegetable plantations. Your then climb wadis and steep mountain passes as the colourful desert gives way to spectacular mountain scenery. Your journey takes you past several fishing villages that look as though they have not changed for centuries. Wander around the old village of Dibba and enjoy the stunning views across the Indian Ocean before enjoy a traditional lunch. Here there is also a chance to take a relaxing swim in the sea.

Continuing along the coastline, you arrive at Al Bidya Mosque. Dating from the 15th century, this is the oldest Mosque in the Emirates. Your journey then takes you port towns of Khor Fakkan and Fujairah, passing by the ruins of the mountain dwellers and the 300-year-old Fort of Fujairah. The tour concludes with a visit to a local market where you can shop for fruit, carpets and pottery.
