Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1: Entebbe To Bwindi Forest National Park By Road

Begin your adventure early in the morning with pickup from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel, and set off on a scenic drive southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through rolling hills, tea plantations, small villages, and the vibrant landscapes of Uganda’s countryside. Stop along the way for photos at the Equator Line and enjoy a lunch break in Mbarara or Kabale, sampling local cuisine if you wish. Continue driving through the picturesque Kigezi Highlands, often called the “Switzerland of Africa,” with stunning views of terraced hills and forests. Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi in the late afternoon, check in, relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the gorilla trek the next day at Gorilla Leisure Lodge.

Day 2 Day 2: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, drive a short distance to the Bwindi park headquarters for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, who assign you a gorilla family based on availability and your trekking experience. Begin the trek into the dense rainforest along winding trails, through bamboo and thick vegetation, with trekking times ranging from two to six hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once the gorillas are located, spend one unforgettable hour observing, photographing, and learning about these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you can explore optional activities such as a Batwa cultural visit, short nature walks, or local craft markets, before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3 Day 3: Bwindi To Entebbe By Flight

After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Kisoro Airstrip for a scenic flight back to Entebbe. Enjoy aerial views of the lush Ugandan landscapes, hills, and forests during the flight. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be met for transfer to Entebbe International Airport for onward flights or to your hotel if staying overnight. This combination of road journey to Bwindi and flight back provides the perfect balance of scenic travel, immersive gorilla trekking, and maximum comfort for a short 3-day safari.

Please Note:
• Taxes, park fees, concession fees, VAT exemptions, and other taxes are based in Oﬃcial Government legislation at booking time. Should any of these be changed by the Government of Tanzania, Go Extra Mile Safaris of Tanzania reserves the right to amend the rates accordingly.
• If accommodation is full at the time of the booking, comparable alternatives will be suggested (according to availability)
• Transport on safari is provided in 4-wheel-drive vehicles. City and other similar transfers may be provided in minivans. The company reserves the right to employ the services of subcontractors where necessary.
Booking Terms & Conditions:
• To confirm our clients' reservation, Go Extra Mile Safaris requires a 25% deposit payment at the time of making your booking. Failure to do so will result in your reservation automatically being canceled.
• The balance of payment is due 8 weeks (60 days) before the commencement date of your itinerary. Bookings made within 8 weeks (60 days) before departure are subject to full prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation.
• Please note that should you have been quoted in foreign currency and wish to settle payment using a credit card, your quotation will be converted to Tanzanian Shillings before the transaction is processed due to foreign exchange regulations by the Bank of Tanzania. The rate of exchange on the day that the transaction is processed will be used to determine the equivalent Shilling amount, with any resulting foreign exchange differences or bank charges being for the client's account. The Bank of Tanzania prohibits Tanzanian companies from taking foreign credit card payments and keeping the payment in foreign currency. The payment has to be converted to Tanzanian shillings before it is credited to the recipient. Clients are welcome to settle payment employing a bank transfer - in this instance, the amount will be converted by your bankers on presentation of our invoice.
• It is the client's responsibility to inform and instruct their bankers that the net invoice amount must equal the funds clearing into the Go Extra Mile Safaris bank account and that ALL bank charges are to be borne by the client's account.

• Penalty of 10% if you cancel more than 60 days before your tour
• 20% penalty if you cancel between 30 and 60 days earlier
• a penalty of 50% if you cancel with 15 to 30 days' notice
• a 75% penalty if you cancel with 7 to 14 days' notice,
• a penalty of 100% if you cancel with less than a week's notice
• Oﬃcial Govt Fees paid remain Non-refundable
