Governors' Camp Safari Option is an iconic under-canvas wildlife safari set within the riverine forest along the winding Mara River in the wildlife-rich Musiara sector of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Available as either a convenient fly-in package (via scheduled flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Musiara Airstrip) or an overland 4x4 road safari, the experience places guests in prime big cat territory with rapid access to the Musiara Marsh and major seasonal Great Wildebeest Migration river crossings. The package includes luxury en-suite canvas tent accommodation, full-board gourmet dining, select house drinks, shared morning and afternoon game drives in customized open-sided 4x4 safari vehicles with professional safari guides, local airstrip transfers (for fly-in itineraries), and laundry service. Masai Mara National Reserve conservation entry fees, premium spirits and cellar wines, gratuities, and optional excursions—such as sunrise hot air balloon safaris over the Mara plains, guided bush walks, or authentic Maasai village cultural visits—are handled separately.
