Nameri National Park is located in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam, India, about 40 kilometres from Tezpur and the third national park in Assam. The Pakhui (Pakke) Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh adjoins the Park on its North-Eastern point. Together they constitute an area of over 1000 km 2 of semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests with cane and bamboo brakes and narrow strips of open grassland along rivers. Nameri is a birder's paradise with over 300 species of birds.

The Nameri National Park of 200 sq. kms. area is located in the Sonitpur district, bordering Arunachal Pradesh and it is also the core area of Nameri Tiger Reserve (344 Sq. Km.). One can enjoy rafting in the Jia Bhoroli river in the south-western boundary.

The area is criss-crossed by the river Jia- Bhoroli and its tributaries namely the Diji, Dinai, Doigurung, Nameri, Dikorai, Khari etc. A few Jheels (during the rainy seasons) also dot the area. The inaccessibility and continuity with the neighbouring forest areas have helped the wildlife of Nameri to flourish. There is a good prey base in the form of Sambar, Barking deer, Hog Deer, Wild Boar and Gaur. About 3000 domestic cattle also form part of this prey base for Tiger and Leopards. Nameri and Sonai-Rupai are only Protected Areas in the North Bank of the Brahmaputra in the Civil District of Sonitpur.

Pick Up From Guwahati Airport/Railway Station Drive To Nameri

Guest received at Guwahati from Airport/Railway Station. Visit Balaji Temple & Drive to Nameri Wild Life Sanctuary. Night Stay at Nameri Eco Camp.

Day 2

Local Sightseeing And Visit Nameri National Park

Today early morning at about 0530 Hrs, we set to explore the park of foot (3.2 kms), after the trek back to the camp. After having breakfast go for an exclusive rafting (mild rapids) trip on Jia-Bhoreli River, flowing along the National Park, for water birds. Return back to the camp. Overnight stay at camp.

Day 3

Check-out From Nameri Drop To Guwahati Airport/Railway Station

Early morning depart from Nameri back to Guwahati, visit Balaji Temple. And finally drop at Airport/Railway Station for Departure.

The above package is not valid during the festival season, national holidays, long weekends, and New Year.

Per person rates (in Rs.), and applicable on 6 persons, on twin sharing basis (maximum 2 adults per room is allowed).

All transfers, excursions, sightseeing and travel as per itinerary in an air conditioned vehicle (The air conditions will work in plain areas only and not on hills).

Package rates are subject to change without prior notice. However the new package rates would be conveyed to the guest depending on the availability in the hotels.

Air condition is allowed in the moving position of the cab provided and not in the standing position if it is more than 10 minutes for the above mentioned itinerary.

Guests are not allowed to drink (alcohol)/smoke / do any other illegal activities as per the Indian laws inside the cab, provided for the above mentioned itinerary.

One Child between 0 to 4 years is complimentary (without bed) after that each child between 0 to 4 years 50% of per person package cost without extra bed, child between 4 To 12 years will be charged 70% of the per person package cost with extra bed ( mattress ) sharing the same room with parents, beyond 12 years 100% per person package cost will be charged with extra bed (mattress) sharing the same room with parents and we request our guest to declare the actual age of the child at the time booking.
