Hampta Pass Jun-oct Best Time for this Trek Tour

(Manali to Jobri, 19 km, drive 45 mins. Jobri to Chikka, 3-4 hours): Short drive from Manali to Prini - Sethan - Jobri. where the road ends, start trek from here crossing Jobri nallah on bridge through mixed forests of pine, maple and birch trees. Than along the Hampta river to Chikka. Nice waterfall at Chikka.

(Chikka to Balu Ghera, 5-6 hours): Gradual climb along the Hampta nallah to Jwara meadows. Shepherds hut and tea shop at Jwara. Continue to Balu ghera from where you will have first view of Hampta pass.

(Balu Ghera to Shea goru, cross Hampta pass, 7-8 hours): Gradual climb leaving Balu ghera to Hampta pass. It will take between 3 to 4 hrs to reach Hampta pass. View of Indrasan peak towards North East of Hampta pass. Steep descent for an hour to two to dried Hampta glacier in Lahaul. Than easy trail to Shea Goru plain. Beautiful campsite.

(Shea Goru to Chhatru, 5 hours): A glacial river crossing at Shea goru, than trail goes through boulder and moraine to Chandertall to River valley.
