Hiking Tour in Albania

Arrive to Mother Theresa Airport.
After procedures at the airport departure to Shkodra, which is located near the lake that shares the same name. It is an ancient city with a rich history. Visit the Castle of Rozafa built on a rocky hill and get acquainted with its sad legend. Dinner and overnight in Shkodra.

After breakfast in Shkodra, go further through the splendid valley of Boga where the road climbs towards the steep Thore Pass (1700m).
From Here starts the hiking activity down to the Thethi Village.
One possibility is to take stani I Dhenve, but it is very difficult path. So, the members of the group mut be very well experienced hikers.
Another solution we have done recently is to take the main road (car road) to follow down to Theth. Note that this part of the road is not asphalted and offers almost the same Panorama as Stani I Dhenve.

Spent the day hiking in Theth area.
Proceed first to the Grunas Waterfall and the canyon, monuments of nature. After Grunas waterfall the hike continues downhill to Nderlysa and later we will visit the splendid natural pool "The Blue Eye of Kapre". After the visit, return to Nderlysa and then transfer to the village. Dinner and overnight in Theth.

The return trip to the village can be done with 4x4 cars

After breakfast, walk along a well-preserved ancient mule track in the Albanian Alps. Two hours later we start the excursion and reach the "source of Valbona" (1500m above sea level). We have a short break and then continue to the Pass di Valbona along a well-marked winding path. Then it starts to go down. After we reach Valbona, accommodation in the hotel.

In the morning departure for the Koman lake, we will embark on the ferry that crosses the spectacular canyon of the river Drin (the largest river in Albania 285 km). The lake was modeled after the compilation of Koman HEC (central hydro-central) in 1981.
After the trip by ferry, the transfer continues in the medieval town of Kruja. Arrival in Kruja where we will have a visit of the Skanderbeg Castle. Later visit the Ethnographic Museum. Free time in the traditional bazaar. Accommodation in hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, the group will make a walking tour to visit the Kruja mountain range. As arrived on the top can be visited the Holy Land of the Bektashi.

After Kruja travel towards central Albania. The next destination will be Llogara National Park. On the way from Kruja to Llogara, we may add a visit to the City of Berat, that is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This morning we will prepare for the hiking. We will hike up to Mount Cika for about 3 hours. We will do a picnic lunch and a rest for about 1 hours. Then we will hike down for about 2,5 hours. Mount of Cika is a mountain in the south-western region of Albania bordering the Ionian Sea. Cika is the highest peak of the Ceraunian Range, standing at 2,044m above sea level and peak of Qorrës is at 2,018m. Since the mountain is situated bordering the Ionian Sea, it appears to be very high as it begins to rise at sea level (0m). The northern part of Cika is part of Llogara National Park. On the peaks of Cika Mountain there is a magnificent view of the northern Ionian Islands as well as the Italian coast of Apulia (including Otranto). On the foot of the western side of the mountain there are small beaches which attract tourists during the summer months.
