Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival Cochin - Munnar

    driver will be pick-up from Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station and drive to Munnar (04 Hrs drive). Munnar, situated 1600 Meter above sea level at the confluence of three mountain streams -Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. On the way enjoy some waterfalls and natural scenic spots. On arrival Munnar check-in into Hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel munnar.

  • Day 2 : Munnar Sightseeing

    After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing. Places to visit are Tea Museum - displays the history and evolution of the tea plantations in Munnar. the museum is open to tourists till 5pm. If you are a flora lover, pay a visit to the Floriculture Centre Munnar. Commonly known as Rose Garden, it has over hundred varieties of flowers and herbal plants. Open from 10 am to 5 pm. The Eravikulam National Park in Munnar is one of the five national parks in Kerala, with rich flora and fauna, which is home to the famous Nilgiri Thar. The park closes at 4 pm. Mattupetty Dam / Lake is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Munnar, surrounded by lush green forest. Open from 9:30 am till 5 pm. You may also engage in boating and horse rides [depend on availability] (ranges from Rs.50 to Rs.700 at self expense ). The Kundala Lake / Dam is one of the most picturesque locations in Munnar. It requires no entry fees, but boating activities costs from at self expense. Visitors are allowed till 5pm. Visit the Photo Point and Echo Point with no entry charges. Entrance fee / activity charges not included unless otherwise mentioned with inclusions. Overnight stay at Munnar. Above rates are indicative.

  • Day 3 : Munnar to Thekkady

    After breakfast check out from the hotel. drive to Thekkady (04 Hrs); on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978 is one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves stretching to a total of 777sq km of which 360 km is thick ever green forest. Allows visitors from 6 am to 6 pm. Boating the Periyar lake is an activity much sought by tourists who visit Thekkady because wild animals can be spotted during the session. Costs Rs.225/- per person. Online booking is recommended to avoid queues. Jeep safari cost Rs.1500/- per person. Visit the Spice Plantation in Thekkady. It charges approximately Rs.100/- per person. If time permits witness the amazing work of art of Kathakali, one of the major classical dance forms of Kerala at Rs. 200/- per person. Also get captivated by the ancient form of martial arts practiced in Kerala, the Kalaripayattu, which is said to be the oldest and most scientific martial arts in the world. Entry fees cost Rs. 200/- per person. Most sought Elephant Ride around the wilderness cost approximately Rs.500/- per person.   • Day 4 : Thekkady to Madurai / Sightseeing

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Madurai proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Madurai. The temple town of Madurai, situated on the banks of river Vaigai, is one of the most ancient cities in India with a history dating back to the pre-Christian times. It was the imperial capital of the Pandyan Empire in the 14th Century AD. Madurai was the seat of Tamil learning and the last of the Tamil Sangams (Academies) was held here nearly 2000 years ago. Main tourist attraction is Meenakshi Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 5 : Madurai to Rameswaram

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Rameswaram; on arrival check in to the hotel. On the way visit Pamban bridge; it was India's first sea bridge, and was the longest sea bridge in India until the opening of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in 2010. Visit Agni Theertham, Ramanathaswamy TempleHousing the world’s most sacred sand mound this temple is one of India's holiest shrines. If time permits visit Dhanushkodi; Dhanushkodi is a ghost town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island. Overnight stay at Rameswaram.

  • Day 6 : Rameswaram to Kanyakumari

    After breakfast check out from the hotel. drive to Kanyakumari (07 Hrs Drive); Proceed for local sightseeing tour in the afternoon. Places to visit: The Padmanabhapuram Palace situated in Kanyakumari is a 16 century old palace Open from 8am to 4pm. The Devi Kanyakumari Temple, also known as Kumari Amman Temple Open from 4:30am to 12:30pm and from 4pm to 8pm and requires no entry fee. Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma. Open from 4:30am to 11am and from 5pm to 8:30pm. No entry fees. The Triveni Sangamam in Kanyakumari is a sacred confluence of three water. The Sunset / Sunrise View Point in Kanyakumari is a must visit if your visit time permit to view Sunset or Sunrise. Entrance fee / activity charges not included unless otherwise mentioned with inclusions. Enjoy the sunset in the evening and overnight stay at the hotel.   • Day 7 : Kanyakumari to Trivandrum / Kovalam

    After breakfast, check out from the Hotel. drive to Kovalam / Trivandrum (03 Hr Drive) Kovalam is one of the prime beach destinations in India.The Kovalam beach is divided into three beaches; the Samudra beach, the Hawah beach and the Lighthouse beach. Also visit Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium not far away from Kovalam and unravel the mysteries of the marine sea. Enjoy the evening watching a spectacular sunset or swimming at the picturesque Kovalam Beach. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 8 : Kovalam to Trivandrum / Kovalam

    Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Trivandrum after breakfast- Thiruvananthapuram, previously called Trivandrum, is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total of 2,192 sq.km. Sightseeing tour is comprehensive with the visits to Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

  • Day 9 : Alleppey (House Boat)

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats. Check in time is 01:00 PM and cruise starts with lunch. While cruising, let your eyes settle for the bowed-down paddy fields, local inhabitants, rustic homes, ancient churches / temples and swaying coconut groves. Food will be served onboard. Overnight stay in the houseboat.

  • Day 10 : Alleppey Departure

    TransferAfter breakfast check out from the House Boat / Hotel and drive to Airport / railway station (depend on your departure place) for your flight / train back home, feeling contented about a wonderful. end tour.
