Nagarkot is a village in central Nepal, at the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. It’s known for its views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest to the northeast, which are especially striking at sunrise and sunset. The surrounding scrubland is laced with trails and home to many butterflies. To the west is the ancient, pagoda-style Changunarayan Temple, dedicated to Vishnu and a Hindu pilgrimage site.

Chandragiri Hill is seven kilometers from Thankot, and lies on the south-west side of Kathmandu Valley which is 2551 metres above sea level. The hill provides panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan ranges from Annapurna to Everest.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu 1400m/4594ft

Upon our arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Kantipur Holidays who will drop us off at our hotel. After checking in, we take a rest or visit the Kantipur Holidays office. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Kantipur Holidays. For dinner, you will be served excellent authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the Nepalese food culture.

Day 2

Drive to Nagarkot 2175m/135ft

Today after breakfast, we drive to Nagarkot in a private comfortable vehicle. Nagarkot is a small hill station located only 32 km from Kathmandu valley. Upon reaching there you can feel the fresh mountain air. Also, the place is best for sunset, sunrise and mountain views.

Day 3

Drive to Chandragiri Hills 2551m/8369ft

We soak in the early morning sunrise from Nagarkot before heading back to Chandragiri. Chandragiri is another hill station in Kathmandu valley which offers you with majestic mountain view and beautiful Kathmandu valley below. There is a newly opened cable car that take you to the hilltop offering you with beautiful scenery all around.

Day 4

Back to Kathmandu and Final Departure

After having quality time at Vhandragiri, we return back to Kathmandu after breakfast. Upon reaching Kathmandu, a representative from Kantipur Holidays will take us to the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight.
