Nagarkot Family Hike Tour

A representative from Kantipur Holidays will meet us at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu and transfer us to our designated hotel. We might rest after checking in or go to the Kantipur Holidays office. A welcome dinner with authentic Nepali food and a quick cultural presentation will be held in a typical Nepalese restaurant in the evening.

After breakfast today, we begin a guided tour of some of Kathmandu's most revered historical and spiritual landmarks, which are also regarded as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We go to the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, the holy Pashupatinath Hindu temple, the well-known Swayambhunath "Monkey Temple," and the Buddhist shrine Bouddhanath, which is also one of the biggest stupas in the world. We check our gear with our trekking guide at lunchtime, meet the other participants, and talk about our trip at the Kantipur Holidays office.

We pick you up from the hotel early in the morning and drive to Sundarijal. We start hiking from Sundarijal walking through the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. Along the trail, we pass through several Tamang communities, picturesque scenery, and lush green vegetation.

From Chisapani, we continue the trail which leads us to Nagarkot - one of the most popular destinations for nature lovers. On a clear day, the Himalayan ranges from Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east greet the visitor with their awe-inspiring majesty and beauty. Besides the spectacular mountain scenery, we also have the opportunity to see sunrise and sunset.

After admiring the beautiful sunrise followed by a relishing breakfast, we head back to Kathmandu to begin our drive towards Chitwan, which is situated 175 kilometers from Kathmandu. We will travel down a winding road beside the Trishuli River. Upon arriving at the hotel, we will receive a briefing on the various activities that will be available to us during our stay in Chitwan. Later, we will take a stroll along the Rapti River to witness the sunset in the Chitwan sub-tropical forests. In the evening, we will be treated to dinner accompanied by a short cultural program featuring traditional tribal dances that are unique to the Chitwan area of Nepal.

Activities : Sightseeing

At dawn, we embark on a four-hour jeep safari that will transport us to the heart of Chitwan National Park. After our return, we will have lunch and then proceed to the elephant stables, where we will have the opportunity to participate in bathing these majestic creatures. In the afternoon, we have a choice between two activities: we can either drive through the jungle and then take a canoe ride down the Rapti River, where we may be able to observe Gharial and Mugger crocodiles, freshwater dolphins, otters, and a variety of water birds up close. Alternatively, we can go bird-watching or take a nature walk to get a closer look at the diverse range of flora and fauna found within the park.

After our breakfast, we retrace our journey back to Kathmandu using the same way that we used previously.

Our incredible adventure in Nepal including the visit to Nagarkot and Chitwan National Park concludes today. A representative from the company will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport three hours before your scheduled flight.
