Khandala is one of the popular hill stations located in Maharashtra.Two thousand feet up the Sahyadri, brings one to the Deccan Plateau and to the charming mountain and health resort of Khandala and Lonavla. Nagphani (Duke's Nose) Reversing Station, Shooting Point, Bhairavnath Temple and many more are the main tourist spots in Khandala. Rajmachi Fort, Lohagad Fort, Karla Caves, Bhaja Caves and Bedsa Caves are the adventurous place here to enjoy the architecture of the caves. Bedsa Caves are located near Kamshet and Mumbai to Pune road.

Bedsa caves are mostly popular for their pillars with image of Lions and a Chaitya hall. Karla Caves are at the distance of 115 km distance from Mumbai and were built up during Satavahanas for the Buddhist monastics. Kune Falls, located within the Lonavala and khandala valley and this falls is surrounded with green vegetation and people often hold picnic programs around it.

Lohgad Fort was built by Shivaji, the brave king of Maharashtra. Later on Dabhade and Gaikwada were imprisoned here. The Reversing Station was used by the Railway department and now becomes the tourist place for the numerous visitors.

Some of the major attractions of Khandala include Tiger's Leap, Amrutanjan Point, Duke's Nose, Bhushi Lake and Karla and Bhaja Cave.

Day 1

Pune To Khandala (61/kms)

Morning you will be pick up from Pune and then drive by surface to Khandala and on arrival check-in at the hotel. Later explore to Khandala.

Overnight : Hotel in Khandala.
Day 2

Khandala

Today morning after breakfast you we will taken for tour of Khandala visiting visit Duke's Nose, Bhushi Lake, Karla and Bhaja Cave.

Karla and Bhaja Caves: The solid black rock of the plateau, has several Buddhist caves carved into it. 10 kms from Lonavla lie the Karla Caves dedicated in 160 BC by Hinayana Buddhist Monks. The largest Cave, dating back to 160 BC is well preserved. The pillar at the entrances, the sun window, and the pillar panels are noteworthy.

The Bhaja Caves (3 kms from Malavali Station) set in a lush green hillside, covered with waterfalls, dating back to the 1st century B.C.is in the same style as the Karla Caves. They are one of the finest examples of rock cut caves in India.Evening is free to relax or do your own activity.

Khandala To Pune (61/kms)

Morning after the breakfastdrive back to Pune and drop off at your place.
