Serengeti Safari Itinerary – 3 Days / 2 Nights

Morning: • Board a scheduled bush flight at Arusha Airport (ARK) to Serengeti National Park, landing at Seronera Airstrip in the heart of the park. • Flight time: Approx. 1 to 1.5 hours over stunning landscapes, including the Great Rift Valley and Ngoro Ngoro Highlands. Late Morning – Arrival in Serengeti: • Meet your professional safari guide and transfer into a custom 4x4 Land Cruiser, complete with a pop-up roof. • Begin your first game drive en route to the lodge, where you may encounter: o Elephants lumbering along riverbeds. o Giraffes browsing atop umbrella thorn trees. o Warthogs dashing between termite mounds. o And possibly your first sightings of zebra and wildebeest herds. • Check-in at your camp or lodge and settle in for lunch. Afternoon: • After a brief rest, enjoy a short afternoon game drive, focusing on the nearby Seronera Valley, a predator-rich region known as the "big cat capital." • Likely wildlife sightings: o Lions basking on kopjes or under acacia shade. o Cheetahs scanning the plains from termite mounds. o Hyenas on patrol or lounging at their dens. o Abundant impalas, topis and gazelles grazing in open areas. Evening: • Return to camp for a relaxing dinner under the stars, with sounds of the African wilderness in the background, possibly distant lion roars or laughing hyenas. • Overnight at the camp/lodge.

Morning Game Drive – Seronera Valley & Moru Kopjes • After an early breakfast at camp, depart around 6:30–7:00 AM for a morning game drive through the Seronera Valley, one of the most wildlife-rich regions of the Serengeti. • Seronera River sustains a high density of animals year-round, making this one of the best places in Africa to spot big cats in action. Wildlife Highlights May Include: • Leopards draped across tree branches or stalking through the grasses near water channels. • Lions, often seen in large prides (10–20+), resting on the granite outcrops known as kopjes or patrolling for prey. • Cheetahs scanning the horizon from termite mounds. • Elephant herds moving gracefully between acacia woodlands and open plains. • Zebra and wildebeest herds, either grazing or on the move during the Great Migration season (especially from June–July). • Buffalo, giraffes and warthogs, common across the region. • Rich birdlife, including: o Martial eagles, secretary birds, lilac-breasted rollers and Kori bustards. • Your guide will also introduce you to the ecology of kopjes, which serve as key shelter and vantage points for predators. Late Morning – Picnic Breakfast or Early Bush Lunch • Depending on your group’s pace, you’ll either: o Enjoy a picnic breakfast under the shade of an acacia tree near a scenic viewpoint o Or return to your lodge for an early lunch and short rest. • This mid-morning break also allows time to review sightings, ask your guide questions and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the park away from other vehicles. Midday Cultural Experience – Visit to a Masai Village • After lunch or a rest, take a short drive (approx. 30–45 minutes depending on location) to a traditional Masai Manyatta, located just outside Serengeti’s central boundaries. • This immersive experience offers a window into the daily life, values and customs of one of East Africa’s most iconic pastoralist tribes. Experience Includes: • Warm welcome from the village elders and community members. • Traditional dance and chanting ceremony, where guests may be invited to participate in the famous Adumu (jumping dance). • Guided tour of the village: o Visit inside the enkangs (mud-and-dung homes), traditionally built by Masai women. o Learn about Masai roles, including the significance of age sets, warriors (morans) and spiritual practices. o See how the community uses local herbs for medicine, herds’ cattle and makes fire from sticks. • Visit a small local market area where Masai women display handmade beaded jewelry, shukas (cloths) and carvings—great for souvenirs and direct community support. Late Afternoon Game Drive • On the return drive to the lodge, take a relaxed sunset game drive through different areas of the park. • Visit the Retima Hippo Pool, where dozens of hippos jostle and grunt in the muddy waters. • Scan open plains for: o Jackals, hyenas and bat-eared foxes beginning their dusk activities. o Birds of prey returning to roost. o If lucky, a second chance to spot predators such as lions on the move or leopards climbing to roost. Evening • Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation. • Optional evening activities: o Stargazing with a guide o Storytelling around the campfire o Or a quiet evening in your tent, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
