ITINERARY
Shirikhand Mahadev Trek 2020
6 Days / 7 Nights
Trek itinerary:
Day-01 - Reception at Rampur and departure to Jaon (45 kms by taxi )
Day-02 - Jaon – Thachhadu (13-14 kms trek) (11,318 ft)
Day-03 - Thachdu-Bheemdwar (12-13 kms trek) (11,318 – 13,622 ft)
Day-04 - Bheemdwar – Dharshan-Bheemdwar (8+8 = 16 Kms trek) (13,622 – 18,195 ft)
Day-05 - Bheemdwar – Singhaad (16-17 kms)
Day-06 - Singhaad – Jaon – Rampur (7-8 kms)
What to expect on the way

5. Extremely rare Braham kamal
6. The poignant Nain-Srovar- A glacial lake supposedly born of a tear drop from the eyes of the Goddess Parvati.
7. Bhim ki bahi -- Huge stone tablets with hieroglyphic markings on them. They are supposed to be the tablets on which Bhim kept account of the Pandava's travels in exile.
8. Finally the enormous Shrikhand peak itself - a black cracked rock monolith 20m high. The Shivling surrounded by a permanent snow field. It is an unforgettable sight.
Check in the hotel. Evening refreshments on arrival. Meet our guide/staff in the hotel Visit to local temples, padam palace and shopping for trek. Over night at hotel.

After breakfast we drive by jeep through Devdhank, Nirmand, Bagipul mostly on tarmac road through dense forest and apple orchards to reach Jaon. After Jaon we start the trek to reach our next destination Singhgaad after 2hrs of trekking. On this route we walk along the village, apple orchards, Devdar forests and Kurpan Stream.Over night at camp in Singhgaad

After breakfast at 8 am, we start the trek early morning through forest to reach Barati Nala. After taking some rest and offering prayers, we start to a steep ascent called Dandi-Dhar. After 6hr of tough walk through Devdar forest we reach Thachdu. At Thachdu we can have nice view of Shrikhand Mahadev. Over Night at camps in Thachdu

After breakfast at 8 am we start the trek through Devdar forest, Bhoj Patra, alpine flowers and huge boulders. After 2hrs of easy walk we reach the Kali Ghati. This place belongs to Goddess Kali. After offering prayers and lunch/rest we start again to reach Bheem Talai. (Pandavas stayed here for years while in exile.). On the way to Bhimdwar we can see ibex, mountain mouse and rare birds.

After breakfast at 8 am we start the trek through alpine flowers and snow bridges to reach Shirikhan Top (shivligham).Trek through ridges and alpine flowers to reach Parvati-Baag.It is believe the this place belongs to Mata Parvati.As the name says it all,place is full colour full flowers. After 2 hours of easy walk from Parvati Baag will reach the poignant Nain Sarovar lake. Here we take bath and offer prayers to Goddess Parvati for safe journey. From here the extreme trail starts and oxygen gets thinner due to high altitude after 4hrs. of extremely tough walk/climb through Bhim ki Bahi, we reach the enormous Shrikhand peak. After offering prayers and photography we descend down to reach Bheemdwar.Over night at the camp.

After breakfast at 8 am we descend down to reach Bhim Thachdu. Over night at the camp.

After breakfast at 8 am we start the descend to reach Jaon.Back to Rampur by road.
