Sikkim Tour 7 Nights - 8 Days With Lachen - Lachung

On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok (5500 Ft /1677 Mts, 130 Kms / 4 -5 Hrs). Upon arrival proceed to the hotel for check-in; the evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

After breakfast, in the morning, start for excursion to Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way from Gangtok) & through Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary and Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) (no entry for foreigner nationals, they are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 02 & above is the number to visit Tshangu Lake). Situated at a height of 12400 Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok and Overnight at Gangtok. (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided) Optional Nathula.
Nathula (14140 Ft / 4310 Mts / 20 Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1 Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) is an Indo China border, controlled by the Indian Army & is situated approx 20 Kms ahead of Tshangu Lake at an height of 14140 Ft / 4310. The journey to Nathula & Baba Mandir is same up to 16 Kms. At this point the right arm of the “V” which is 4 Kms takes one to Baba Mandir & left arm of the “V” which is 4 Kms takes one to Nathula. One can opt for Nathula Excursion by paying a supplement cost which varies from month to month. Nathula permit gets confirmed 24 hrs prior to the journey date & it is subjected to permit availability as it is allotted as per lottery. Nathula is closed on Monday for tourists. Organising the permit at the last moment is not possible & a clear window of 72 Hrs with proper documents is required to process the permit. To process the permit we would require 04 Passport Size Photograph & photo proof identity card such as Voter Id / Passport / Driving License. Pan card & Adhar card is not accepted as identity proof by authorities. There is no refund, incase the The permit is confirmed by Sikkim tourism & due to whatsoever reason (Land slide, Heavy rainfall, VIP Movement, Health issue etc) one is not able to visit.Then also Additional payment has to be done.

After breakfast in the morning transfer to Lachen – Nearly 130 kilometers and five hours’ drive. En route photo stop at singhik view point, seven sisters fall, Naga Falls, The Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) & Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang and Bhim Nala Waterfall. Evening On arrival at Lachen check into your hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachen.

Early Morning drive to Gurudongmar Lake which is 69 kms from Lachen, then visit Chopta Valley (13,225 ft.). Back to the hotel and after lunch transfer to Lachung (8,175 ft).Reach Lachung by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachung.

After breakfast you leave for Yumthang (Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends. In April, May and June the valley erupts in a riot of colours as rhododendrons, primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom. In winters, Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains add to the ethereal beauty) . You can pay a visit to the famous hot spring on the way. Return to Lachung for lunch. After lunch you will depart for Gangtok. overnight stay at Gangtok. Optional Zero Point (Alt 15700 ft.) for Indian tourists only at an additional cost OF Rs. 3500 per vehicle.

Morning breakfast - After breakfast drive for the city tour of Gangtok – Sightseeing will be for half day hence the drive will be easy and comfortable – It is not possible to cover all the spot in single day hence we make the program with points covering minimum distance traveled - Visit to Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology ( closed on Sunday & govt. Holidays), White Hall, Flower Show etc.
Afternoon transfer to Darjeeling – A drive of 135 Kilometers 3 – 3 1⁄2 hours. At an height of 2123 meters / 70001 feet lies the land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest – Popularly known as the Queen of the hills and is also known for the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR Of UNESCO heritage tag) Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) - Check into hotel –Evening free to roam around mall and local shopping centre, overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts) at around 3:45 am for viewing sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (if the weather is favorable), while returning From tiger hills visit to Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial, and Batasia Loop. After breakfast at the hotel you will depart for next round of sightseeing - Half Day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda – Back to hotel – Evening free to stroll around the area - Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
