    Description :

    Upon arrival Chennai in the morning, meeting & assistance at airport and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Chennai visiting the Museum to see the Art Gallery, drive through the flower fruit Market, High Court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and Snake Park. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 2 : Chennai/Mahabalipuram (131 kms. 4 hrs. via Kancheepuram)

    Description :

    After breakfast, leave Chennai by road for Mahabalipuram enroute visiting Kancheepuram. On reaching Mahabalipuram check-in at Hotel. Afternoon tour of Mahabalipuram including visit to Shore Temples – the World Heritage site. Overnight at hotel.

    Day 3 : Mahabalipuram/Pondicherry (132 kms. 3.30 hrs.)

    After breakfast, leave Mahabalipuram by road for Pondicherry and check-in at Hotel. Afternoon tour of Pondicherry including visit to Auroville. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 4 : Pondicherry / Kombakonam/Chidambaram/Tanjore (185 kms. 5 hrs.)

    After breakfast, leave Pondicherry for Tanjore enroute visiting Kombakonam & Chidambaram. Chidambaram, the seat of the Cosmic Dancer; dedicated to Lord Nataraja (Lord Shiva). Spread over an area of 40 acres witha gopuram on each side, the temple is distinguished by the five sabhas or counts. The towering gopurams, the tallest one on the north is 42.4 mt are carved on it with 108 dance poses of Bharatanatiyam - one of the most famous Indian Dance. On arrival Tanjore, check-in at the Hotel Afternoon visit Tanjore - The home of Carnatic music, musical instruments, dance and traditional hadicrafts, Tanjore (Thanjavur) is famous for the Brahadeeswarar Temple. The temple constructed more than a thousand years ago by the Chola King Raja Rajan is an architect's marvel. The Art Gallery and the Saraswathi Mahal Library are also well known places of interest.     Day 5 : Tanjore-Trichy-Madurai ( 201 km. 6 hrs.)

    Description :

    After breakfast, leave Tanjore for Madurai enroute visiting Trichy (56 kms.) & Srirangam (5 kms.). Trichy was occupied by Chola and Pallava Dynasties. The Nayakas of Madurai have constructed the greater portion of the town. Visit Rock Fort Temple (is a landmark of Trichy) with a Ganesh Temple on the top of this rock also contains excavated cave temples dating to the 7th century A.D. the famous for fine sculptures, a climb up its stone to the Hall of a hundred pillars. Visit the island of Srirangam - surrounded by the Kaveri water is a 600 acre island town enclosed within the seven walls on the gigantic Sri Ranganathaswami Vishnu temple. There are no less than 22 gopurams, one of which is the tallest in India. The 72 m high 13 tiered gopuram dominates the landscape for miles around. Later drive to Madurai and on arrival, check-in at the Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

    Day 6 : In Madurai

    • Meenakshi Temple

    Description :

    After breakfast morning sightseeing tour of Madurai - known as Athens of the East, it is the second largest city on the banks of the River Vigai. The city believed to be more than 2500 yeras old. The city got its name from the drops of nectar (Mathuram) that fell from Shiva's locs when he came to bless its people for constructing a temple for him. Madurai where the people wake up at the chant of hymns is proud of magnificent 'The Meenakshi-Sundareswara Temple. Of its 12 gopurams, four of the tallest stand at the outer walls of the temple. The 48.8 m high southern gopuram is the most spectacular and have over 1500 sculptures. In the Ashta Shakti Mandapam inside the Meenakshi temple, the sculpted pillars tell the story of the beautiful princess of Madurai and her marriage to Lord Shiva. Visit includes,Teppakulam, a tank with an island temple, Tirumalainaik palace, 1000 pillared hall & the Sri Meenakshi Temple - a World Heritage Site.. Afternoon at leisure. Evening witness Prayer Ceremony at the Meenakshi Temple. Overnight at Hotel

    Day 7 : Madurai / Kovalam Beach (270 kms. 6 hrs.)

    Description :

    After breakfast proceed towards Kovalam where located the world famous Beach popularly known as "Paradise of South". Upon arrival Kovalam check-in at Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure OR go for ' God's own Country's most popular Ayurveda Rejuvenation Treatments/ Massages. Overnight at hotel.

    Day 8 : In Kovalam

    Description :

    After breakfast full day at leisure with 'Optional' day return trip to Kanya Kumari with enroute visit Padmanbha temple OR go for Ayurveda Rejuvenation Treatments/ Massages. Kanya Kumari (Cape Comorin) -situated 87 km away from Thiruvananthapuram, it is located at a junction at the southern most tip of India where the three water bodies, namely, Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet. From here, one can see the sun rise from the Bay of Bengal and set in the Arabian Sea. Take motor launch for visit to Vivekananda Memorial, Gandhi Mandapa & Kannyakumari Temple - a holy place for Hindus. While going to Cape Comorin, on the way visit the Padmanabha Wooden Palace. Overnight Hotel.

    Day 9 : Kovalam/ Thekkady

    Description :

    After breakfast leave Kovalam for Thekkady. On arrival Thekkady check in at Hotel Afternoon visit the Elephant camp where can have Elephant joy ride and thereafter visit the Spice Plantation. Overnight at hotel

    Day 10 : Thekkady/Kumarakom/Houseboat

    Description :

    Early morning proceed for game viewing cruise on the Lake Periyar by boat with naturalist to view the variety of wildlife, which include Elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar and very rarely, a Tiger. Quite a lot of unique birds can also be spotted. Return to hotel in time for breakfast. Thereafter proceed by Car to Kumarakom Jetty on the banks of the Vembanad Lake. On reaching the Jetty, check-in to the Kettuvallam (Houseboat) for overnight cruise across the backwaters. The luxuriously furnished Kettuvallam is made entirely of jackwood planks tied (kettu) together with strong coir rope to form a huge barge(vallam). The boat is constructed without using a single nail and is coated with a special resin obtained from boiling cashew kernels. Each a masterpiece of intricate craftsmanship, the Kettuvallam lasts, not for years, but for generations. Each House boat has furnished bedrooms, modern toilets, cozy living rooms, a kitchen and even a balcony for angling, an open lounge and a crew comprising of an oarsmen, a cook and guide.     Day 12 : Cochin / Ooty ( 281kms. 6hrs. )

    Morning after breakfast, drive towards Ooty (the Beautiful leading hill resort of South India). Situated in the heart of the Nilgiris (Blue Mountains), at the height of 2287 Mtr., it lies on a plateau and looks like a vast park. Lofty hills add to the grandeur of the scenery. On arrival in Ooty check into Hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 13 : In Ooty

    Description :

    After breakfast, tour of Ooty visiting botanical garden, explore the tea plantations and totabetta peak. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 14 : Ooty / Mysore (155 kms. 3.30 hrs.)

    After breakfast, drive towards Mysore (Called Garden city) stands by a rocky hill named after the goddess Chamundi. It is the city of Palaces and museums. Upon arrival at Mysore check into Hotel. Afternoon tour of Mysore visiting Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hill and colourful Devraja Fruit and Flower Market and visit Brindhavan gardens. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 15 : Mysore/Banglore

    Description :

    After breakfast, proceed by road to Bangalore enroute visiting Srirangapatnam. On reaching Bangalore, check-in Hotel. Afternoon city tour of Bangalore- The Garden city visiting the Lal Bagh which has a variety of old trees, Fountains, Lotus Pools, Terraces and an assortment of Tropical Herbs and Sub- Tripical Herbs. Also see the Government Buildings and the Maharaja's Palace. Overnight at hotel.

    Day 16 : Leave Bangalore

    Description :

    Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
