Day 1 : Chandigarh to Shimla

Arrive in Chandigarh.
Travel from Chandigarh to Shimla by private taxi. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills.
Check into your prebooked hotel in Shimla.
In the afternoon, explore the Mall Road, visit the Ridge, Christ Church, and Scandal Point.

Day 2 : Shimla Sightseeing and Kufri Excursion

Morning: After breakfast, visit Jakhu Temple. Enjoy panoramic views of Shimla.

Day 3 : Shimla to Chitkul via Sarahan

Morning: After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive towards Chitkul.

Continue your journey towards Sangla Valley. The drive offers stunning views of the Baspa River and surrounding mountains.
Arrive in Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border.

Day 4 : Chitkul to Reckong Peo

Morning: Enjoy the morning in Chitkul. Take a walk along the Baspa River and soak in the natural beauty.
After breakfast, drive towards Reckong Peo, the administrative headquarters of the Kinnaur district.
En route, you can stop at viewpoints to admire the Kinnaur Kailash range.
Check into your hotel in Reckong Peo.
Afternoon: If time permits, visit the local market or the Kalpa viewpoint (if you have time and inclination for a detour, offering magnificent views of the Kinner Kailash).
Evening: Obtain your Inner Line Permits (if you haven't already) for the onward journey to Spiti.

Day 5 : Reckong Peo to Nako and Dhankar Lake

Morning: After breakfast, begin your journey towards the Spiti Valley.
Drive through the picturesque Hangrang Valley.
Stop at Nako Village, known for its serene lake and ancient monastery. Explore the village and the lake.
Continue your drive towards Dhankar.
Trek to the beautiful Dhankar Lake, situated above the Dhankar Monastery. Enjoy the stunning views of the Spiti Valley.
Descend back to Dhankar.
Check into a guesthouse or homestay in Dhankar or continue to Kaza.

Day 6 : Kaza, Kibber, and Key Monastery

Morning: Explore Kaza, the main town in the Spiti Valley. Visit the local market and the Key Monastery (Kee Gompa), one of the largest and oldest monasteries in Spiti, perched dramatically on a hill.
Afternoon: Drive to Kibber, a high-altitude village known for its wildlife sanctuary (you might spot snow leopards or other Himalayan wildlife with luck).
Visit the Kibber Monastery.
Return to Kaza in the evening.

Day 7 : Kaza to Chandratal Lake and Manali

Early Morning: Start your journey towards Chandratal Lake. The drive is scenic but can be challenging in some stretches.
Reach Chandratal Lake, a stunning crescent-shaped lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Spend some time enjoying the beauty of the lake.
Continue your drive towards Manali via the Kunzum Pass (14,931 ft).
The road after Kunzum Pass can be rough.
Arrive in Manali in the late evening.

Day 8 : Manali to Chandigarh

Morning: After breakfast, depending on your departure time, you can do some local sightseeing in Manali, such as visiting the Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashisht Hot Springs, or exploring Old Manali.
