This small and scenic village lies at the foothills of Mount Titlis and it is just 90 kms away from Zurich and just 40 kms from Lucerne city. Many guests prefer staying here than Lucerne city as it gives a resort town feel. Staying at Engelberg - one can cover Lucerne, capital city of Bern, Mount Pilatus, Mount Rigi and Rhine falls as day trips.

Zurich is a financial capital and main air hub of Switzerland. Zurich airport or Zurich Flughafen station is just 15 mins away from Zurich HB station or Zurich Central station. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Zurich Airport - Engelberg

  Arrive at Zurich airport. After immigration, proceed to Zurich Flughafen [airport] station. Using your pre-validated Swiss pass proceed to Engelberg via Lucerne. Walk down to hotel or take a shuttle bus service - if available. Day is free to explore this beautiful town nestled at the foothills of Mount Titlis.

• Day 2 : Mount Titlis - Engelberg

  From Engelberg station, Titlis cable car station is just 10 mins walk. Show your vouchers of Titlis cable car and enjoy cable ride to top of Titlis. Last ride of cable car is by Rotair which is a revolving cable car. Enjoy chairlift ride at the top. Enjoy snow and great views of Alps from the peak. You may take cliff walk which is an adventurous walk on a suspension bridge. Return to Engelberg town by cable car. Engleberg is a scenic village located at the foothills of Mount Titlis. Rest of the day is free to enjoy your Hill town.

• Day 3 : Engelberg- Jungfrau - Interlaken - Engelberg

  Today proceed early to Interlaken OST station via Lucerne by train. Arrive at Interlaken OST station and convert Jungfrau vouchers to tickets. Then board a train to Lauterbrunnen. Today you shall enjoy a amazing train journey to Top of Europe - Mount Jungfrau. At Lauterbrunnen, you shall board a cog wheel train to Kleine Scheidegg and then finally to peak of Jungfrau. At the peak you shall visit Sphinx from where you shall have a eternal view of snow and Glacier origination from Mount Jungfrau. You can have magnificent view of Mount Jungfrau and Mount Eiger peak from here. Later visit Ice Palace and marvel the carvings and caves made out of ice. Then continue your journey to Interlaken but this time take a different route. From Kleine Scheidegg take a train to Grindelwald - a scenic village located at the foothills of Mount Eiger. Visit this scenic village and then return to Engelberg for overnight stay.

• Day 4 : Engelberg - Mount Pilatus - Zurich

  Today check out and keep your luggage at the hotel concierge. Proceed to Lucerne and then to Alpnachstad by train. Then board one of the steepest funicular to Mount Pilatus. This breathtaking ride is an engineering marvel you should not miss. While return take a cable car route and arrive at Kriens. From Kriens take a train back to Lucerne.
  
  At Lucerne visit Kappelbruck bridge which connects two sides of Lake Lucerne, then visit Lion Monument and finally spend time strolling along the streets of Old Town. Late after noon proceed to Engelberg to collect your baggage and then to Zurich airport [Via Lucerne] by train. At Zurich airport station take a free shuttle of the hotel and check in. Overnight at Zurich airport hotel. [ If you do not wish to go back to Engelberg just to collect your bags then you may keep your bags at Lucerne station locker facility by paying additional charges.]

• Day 5 : Say Good Bye to Switzerland

  Today check out and proceed to airport by train. If you are staying at Airport hotel then take a free shuttle bus and arrive at Zurich airport. Board a flight to your onward destination. Your tour ends with great memories to Cherish.
