Tamang Heritage Trekking is a route very newly opened in the popular Langtang trekking region. Certainly, on this trekking route you will learn more about culture, religion and the daily lifestyle of the Tamang community in the Langtang region. During this trek, you will discover rough history of Tibetan ancestors. Their descendants are now Buddhists and living on agriculture and trade. Especially the colorful dresses and and their houses adorned with beautiful woodcarvings are unique. The Tamang Heritage Trekking trail is located north of Kathmandu. It is an interesting trek through Tamang villages and settlements. In fact, they are descendants from Tibet and have hardly seen any tourists. Therefore, their culture is relatively untouched. Moreover, the views of the Himalayan snow-capped mountains will be unforgettable.
