Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Guwahati - Cherrapunjee (147km /approx. 5.30 hours drive to & fro)

Nohkalikai Falls

Arrival transfer from airport/railway station in Guwahati to the hotel in Guwahati on 15th April. Next morning after breakfast you are transferred to Cherrapunjee via Shillong, en-route visit Umiam Lake. Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.) the wettest place in the world We visit the beautiful and the tallest plunge waterfall in India known as Nohkalikai Falls. Enjoy the sight of water rushing down from 1,100 feet through the green forest into a deep waterhole which has unusually blue water like a lagoon. A short trek through some of the amazing terrain and watching a great variety of birds as we reach the entrance of Mawsmai Caves. This limestone caves have the distinction of being the only cave in Meghalaya that are lit enough to enable visitors to explore the natural formations in awe. Then, visit the Seven Sister Falls also known as 'Nohsngithiang Falls' is a seven segmented waterfall which plunges over the top of a limestone cliff. The view is spectacular which leaves one spellbound. Lastly, visit the Elephant Falls for some breathtaking views. A British officer named this falls owing to the presence of an elephant-shaped rock on one side of the falls. This rock was later destroyed due to an earthquake. At Elephanta Falls, one can get very close and enjoy its serenity. Post sightseeing, return to the hotel in Shillong, check-in & retire for the Day.

Day 2

Shillong to Jowai & Laitlum Canyon ( 130 Km to & fro/ 3 hrs approx)

Today after breakfast you visit a very uncommon trail in Jowai and visit one of the most beautiful parts of Meghalaya especially the karngsuri waterfall. Places to visit in Jowai are 1. Laitlum canyon 2. Elephant Falls 3. Shilong Peak 4. Mawphlang Sacred Grove 5. karngsuri waterfall. You can enjoy a deep in the natural pool at Karngsur waterfalls. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3

Shillong to Mawlynnong - Dawki & Back to Guwahati (370 km /approx. 10 hours drive to & fro)

After breakfast, you check out from the Hotel and visit Mawlynnong which is a small village located at 90 km from Shillong near the Bangladesh border. The the village is known for its cleanliness and has received international recognition as the cleanest village in Asia in the year 2003 and cleanest village in India in 2005. The total 95 households form this village have 100 per cent literacy. Mawlynnong looks more beautiful during the monsoons, with lush greenery and waterfalls making it a true delight of nature. The live root bridge is one of the interesting sights which you can spot in here. Then you proceed to Dwaki (Umangot) the crystal clear river and see the border of Bangladesh. We can enjoy the boat ride in the crystal clear water of the Dawki river and enjoy the beauty of nature. Late evening you come back to Guwahati for overnight stay.

Day 4

Guwahati - Dirang (327 km / approx. 9.27 hours)

After a leisurely breakfast, proceed towards Dirang, On arrival in Dirang, check in to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to explore the picturesque valley. In the evening you visit the apple orchids and the Yak farms.

Day 5

Dirang Tour

After a leisurely breakfast we spend the day exploring the beautiful Dirang Valley. Attractions in Dirang are- Sangti Valley, Dirang Dzong, Hot water spring, Kalchakra Gompa .

Day 6

Dirang - Tawang (150 km / approx. 5 hours drive)

Post breakfast drive to Tawang, through Sela- Pass which is the world second highest motorable road at an altitude of 13,700ft. Visit Jaswant Garh,memorialcum- mandir of a great Indian soldier. Also, admire the pristine beauty of Nuranang Fall (Bong Bong Fall). Retire to the hotel for the overnight stay in Tawang. KINDLY NOTE- FOR UPPER TAWANG TOUR, ARMY PERMIT IS COMPULSORY AND ONLY LOCAL CARS ARE ALLOWED. VEHICLE HIRE CHARGE IS RS.5000.00 (For 6 Persons). WHICH IS INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE COST. WE WOULD ALSO ARRANGE THE PERMIT ON YOUR BEHALF.

Day 7

Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

Post breakfast, experience the behold fascinating view of Shonga-the Lake (Madhuri Lake) against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Next, we drive to Bum la pass which is indo-china border, 37km away from Tawang. Also, stop by beautiful Heart Lake, PTSO Lake, Naghula Lake. Return to your hotel and stay overnight in Tawang.

Day 8

Tawang to Bomdila (188 Kms/ 6.4 Hrs)

After breakfast & Check out from Hotel and proceed for Bomdila. Check-in at the hotel & rest of the day in leisure.

Day 9

Bomdila to Guwahati (328 Kms/ approx 8.24 Hrs)

After breakfast, bid farewell to your 'North East Tour' as you are transferred from hotel in Bomdila to Guwahati Hotel. You then proceed for the Brahmaputra Dinner Cruise (Private) and end the Tour with a dessert to linger in the memory for a lifetime.

Day 10

Guwahati -Departure

Before breakfast, you visit the Kamakhya Madir for Darshan and Puja & the Famous Umananda Temple and return to Hotel and after check out you are dropped at the Airport/Railway Station as per your scheduled flight.
