After breakfast travel to Sangla which has earned distinction of one of the most beautiful valleys in Himachal. At Sangla visit Kamru village and make a small walk to visit Kamru Fort which has a temple dedicated to Kamaksha Devi. Afternoon transfer to Kalpa. O/N at Kalpa.

Spend the morning exploring Tabo and its monastery, before a gentle ride along a boulder-strewn valley carrying a cobalt river. Kaza is a small, but relatively modern (for the high Himalaya) Kaza at over 4000m . Enroute visit to Dhankar gompa. This gompa rests high over the valley and is a stupendous example of local architecture. It is regarded to have once been a fort and was also the residence of the ruler of Spiti – the Nako. Continue travel onwards to Kaza. on stay at Kaza.

After breakfast Morning visit the Ki monastery, 12 kms from Kaza. These centuries – old gompa is a labyrinth of rooms and corridors – and at one time also acted as a fort. It houses valuable thangkas and offers a panoramic view of the area. Also visit the small gompa at Kibber, 9 kms further ahead. Kibber at 4205 m has the distinction of being the highest permanently inhabited village of the region. on stay at Kaza.
