Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Drive from Haridwar/Rishikesh to Govindghat/Joshimath (approx. 10-11 hours).

  A long drive that takes you deep into the Garhwal Himalayas. The route follows the Alaknanda River, passing the holy confluences. Check into your hotel at Govindghat or nearby Joshimath to prepare for the start of the walking section tomorrow. Govindghat is the traditional base for the Valley of Flowers.

• Day 2 : Drive to Pulna and Trek to Ghangaria (approx. 1 hour drive, 4-5 hours trek).

  A short drive takes you to Pulna, the road-head. The easy, well-maintained paved trail begins here, winding alongside the Pushpawati River. The trek is a continuous uphill climb to Ghangaria, a bustling transit camp and the base for both the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib, where you will stay for three nights.

• Day 3 : Trek to Valley of Flowers (approx. 6-7 hours return).

  Start early for the most famous part of the trip. The trail is gentle inside the Valley of Flowers National Park (open seasonally, typically July-September). Spend the day walking deep into the valley, observing hundreds of species of rare endemic alpine flowers, surrounded by magnificent peaks like Gauri Parbat, before returning to Ghangaria.

• Day 4 : Trek to Hemkund Sahib (approx. 8-9 hours return).

  A challenging and steep uphill trek (approx. 6 km) to the high-altitude Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and the Lakshman Temple, set beside a pristine glacial lake. This sacred site is one of the highest Gurudwaras in the world. Spend time by the lake and descend slowly back to Ghangaria in the afternoon.

• Day 5 : Trek from Ghangaria to Pulna and drive to Joshimath/Rishikesh (approx. 3-4 hours trek, 1 hour drive).

  Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before beginning the downhill trek back to Pulna. From Pulna, drive to a convenient stopping point like Joshimath or start the long drive back to Rishikesh, depending on time constraints, allowing for a good night's rest.

• Day 6 : Drive from Joshimath/Intermediate Stop to Haridwar/Rishikesh (approx. 8-10 hours).

  Complete the drive back to the plains. This journey marks the conclusion of the tour, a perfect blend of high-altitude trekking, nature appreciation, and spiritual pilgrimage in the heart of the Garhwal Himalayas.
