Early this morning drive over the Rohtang pass(3980mts) to Kelong. Evening visit to Khardung Gompa. O/N Hotel.

After breakfast we leave for Sarchu on the border between Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. Here you can see the nomadic Gaddi people and an army outpost. On our way we stop at Barchala Pass (4892 m). At Barchala, which means "a pass with cross roads," the roads from Ladakh, Zanskar, Lahaul and Spiti intersect. Stay overnight at tents in Sarchu.

After early breakfast leave for Leh en-route crossing Nakeela and Tanglang-La Pass (5350mts) the second highest road in the world and Lachlang-La (5065mts). Break for lunch at Pang and then drive on towards Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (a vast plateau stretching for 42 kms) and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening. O/N Hotel in Leh.

After leisurely breakfast, visit Shey Palace, Thicksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery & Stok Palace Museum. Afternoon visit Shanti Stupa. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardung-la (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area. Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit for overnight stay in a camp.

Full day excursion to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip, located on the Indo-China Border), enroute crossing the Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight in hotel. Overnight in hotel.
