Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by Africa Classic Escapes Customer Care Representative who will assist you with the transfer to your city hotel. Before checking in at hotel, he will brief you on your program ahead and introduce the Driver Guide who will be with you throughout the safari.

Overnight at your city hotel on Bed and Breakfast basis.

  • Day 2 : Samburu

After breakfast drive to Samburu Reserve, which lies 200 miles north of Nairobi on the hot and arid fringes of the vast northern region of Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch followed by a game viewing drive. On the second day, you will morning and afternoon game drives with all meals and overnight at your camp.

Overnights at your lodge or camp on full board basis.

The reserve is within the lands of the colorful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and home to a number of wildlife species rarely found elsewhere in Kenya: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa Oryx, all found only north of the equator. The graceful gerenuk, an antelope with its characteristic long neck, spends much of its time in a bipedal stance seeking relaxation in the sparse scrub that grows in this harsh terrain. This dramatic landscape is blanketed by the hot equatorial sun for most of the year. Relief comes from the cool waters of the Uaso Nyiro ("Brown") River, which rises to the west on the foothills of the Aberdares and which vanishes beyond Samburu in the soggy expanse known as the Lorian swamp. The scenery in Samburu is magnificent and the birdlife awesome.

  • Day 4 : Lake Nakuru National Park

Continue with your journey as you depart to Lake Nakuru, perhaps the most famous of Africa’s great, shallow soda lakes, home to hundreds of thousands of Greater and Lesser Flamingoes and a great many other water bird species. Arrive in time for lunch which will be followed with an afternoon game drive before proceeding to your comfortable accommodation with spectacular views of the lake for dinner and overnight.

Overnight at your lodge or camp on full board basis.

  • Day 5 : Lake Naivasha

Your adventure continues as you drive to Lake Naivasha. Continue to your accommodation at Lake Naivasha, one of the most beautiful lakes in Kenya, with spectacular scenery and varying activities. Lunch will be served at your hotel.

Later in the afternoon enjoy a boat ride to the Crescent Island. No predators are found on this island, so walking among the free-roaming antelope is sure to be a fun experience. A boat ride on Lake Naivasha will reveal the toothy yawn of a hippo, the vast expanses of water lilies, and a plethora of water birds.

Overnight at your lodge or resort on full board basis.

  • Day 6 : Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart to Maasai Mara arriving for lunch at your lodge or camp Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive before returning to your lodge later as the sun sets for dinner and overnight. On the second day, you will have a full day of game viewing drive with all meals and overnight at the camp.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is in the south western part of Kenya and forms part of the greater eco-system that encompasses the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Masai Mara (also spelt Maasai Mara) is one of the best known and most visited reserves in Africa. The park is surrounded by concession areas and tribal lands of the Maasai tribes people. These are unfenced from the Mara and act as a buffer zone for the National Park and form part of the migration area. At times certain parts the Park can get a little overrun with tourist minibuses, so it is recommended to select your time and destination carefully.

The Masai Mara consists of open savannah, rolling grasslands and undulating hills. July to September sees the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle coming from the plains of the Serengeti. Driven by dry conditions in the Serengeti and led by the lightning and thunder to the north, huge herds of mammals cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara's grasslands.

Overnight at your lodge or camp on full board basis.
