Distance 65 kms with driving time about 2 hrs. Arrival at Paro Airport, completion of immigration formalities and meet your Bhutanese guide for transfer to the capital city Thimphu. Enroute stop at Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu Wang Chhu and Paro Pa Chhu rivers where three stupas in Bhutanese Tibetan and Nepalese styles are located. On arrival in Thimphu check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure and overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

After breakfast full day tour of Thimphu city visiting major cultural and heritage sites. Highlights include Kuensel Phodrang Buddha Dordenma statue atop a hill with panoramic views of Thimphu town, National Memorial Chorten built in 1974 in honor of the third King with locals circumambulating offering prayers, Folk Heritage Museum showcasing traditional Bhutanese rural lifestyle, Changangkha Lhakhang one of the oldest temples in Thimphu, Motithang Takin Reserve which is a wildlife reserve for the Takin national animal, and an evening visit to Tashichho Dzong, an impressive fortress housing some ministries and the central monk body. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

Distance approximately 65 kms with driving time about 2 hrs. After breakfast drive from Thimphu to Paro. Enroute stop at Tamchog Lhakhang built in the 13th century by Thangthong Gyalpo known as the Iron bridge builder. Continue drive to Paro and on arrival visit Ta Dzong ancient watch tower now converted into the national museum, Paro Rimpung Dzong the Fortress of the heap of jewels built in 1646, walk down to Nemi Zam Bridge a traditional covered cantilever bridge connecting Paro town to the Dzong, and Kyichu Lakhang one of the oldest and most sacred temples of Bhutan. Later check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure and overnight at the hotel in Paro.

After breakfast visit Taktsang Monastery Tiger's Nest located at an altitude of about 3100 m in the Upper Paro Valley. The monastery is famed in legend where Guru Rinpoche is said to have arrived on the back of a tigress and meditated here. The hike to the monastery is steep and takes about 5 to 6 hours to complete and is not recommended for small children and elderly people. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
