You can go to these places from Hassan that is quite proximate and well connected to these places. At Shrayanbelagola, there is a figure carved with a single granite stone and that too in way back 183 AD. This figure is almost 100 meters in height! After 12 years, the figure of Gometeshwara gets bathed. Thousands of people come to witness this auspicious event and wish their gratitude to the lord. The scene when pujaris start their worship with thousands of devotees gathered around is simply great and picturesque moment!

Karnataka is also enriched geographically. Western Ghats, plateau and long-stretched coast line makes Karnataka different from other states in the country. Karnataka is one of the largest producers of coffee, betel nut and spices. in addition, Karnataka has largest share that is around 60% in supply of nation's silk!
